Easy to Install
The electronic isolator does not require any changes to the vehicles existing wiring system. It can be fitted to all 12V vehicle types.
Priority Charging for Starting Battery
Ensures that the main battery is fully charged before connecting the auxiliary battery in parallel with the main.
Manual Override
If the starting battery goes flat and the auxiliary battery is charged, the electronic isolator allows the batteries to be manually paralleled to jump start the vehicle.
Over Current Protection
Features built in over current protection that protects the isolator. Over current is most likely to occur if there is a short circuit in the wiring.
Surge Protection
Provides surge protection for vehicles with electronic ignition systems.

Great video & clearly explains the advantages of a second battery & dual system. Thanks to such a system I've camped happily knowing my compressor fridge would not see me stranded. The dual battery system also saved my butt when my starter battery finally died on me one cold morning at home. In my case I simply flicked the on-board rocker switch - which I had installed thanks to the advice by my auto electrician - & the engine kicked over.

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban that the family uses for sing-a-long joy rides, camping and driving in flooding streets. It was suggested that I set up the following rig for more effective battery usage. I would really appreciate you guys opinion about this... diode battery isolator: Primary battery- to car starter amp Secondary battery- to all audio, custom subwoofer, all dvd-blueray screens (kids watching movies & online videos) Alternate battery- inverter, battery charging docks, fridge & heaters when camping What would it visually look like to DIY set up something like this?

Question If i was to all so have a dc to dc charger, can i still jump start ? The current would change and have to go back through the dc to dc charger to main battery. Would this affects the dc to dc charger?

I would much prefer this to solar panels on the roof. But will it fry the alternator if you are using multiple appliances in the RV or van? This must be hard on the alternator. Thank you.

I'm thinking of dual system. Use 2ndary Battery as default charging. Use Solar when sitting to keep topped off. Should have a detector to know when to stop charging.

have 2 6v batteries wired in series to make 12v with a 100w solar panel in my E150 van. When the sun goes down I would like to run + and -- wires from my starter battery to my 2 house batteries without messing with the alternator. Here's the question can I just run the 2 wires off the starter battery directly to the 2 6v battery terminals where the charge controller attaches to the batteries and put a manual inline on/off switch? I did not want to use an automatic isolator that sends charge whenever the engine is running, I would manualy turn it on when I want extra charge while driving. Thanks Love your informative vids!

My vehicle has a inbuilt dual batt system ( hilux ssrx ) when i turn on the key first battary is quickly displays on the battary meter but my staring battary is taking a bit of time to enagage. because of that i have to wait some time to start the car ( truck ) whats the problem ? 😑👍

I use a regular 12 volt, as auxillary battery. It is an, "optima" brand gel type though. My fridge runs on propane only - because the DC switch never worked good, on my refridgerator/freezer.
