Here's a quick proof of concept test with 2 Kinect for Windows v2 pre-release sensors.
Running on 2 machines since the current alpha drivers/SDK don't support multiple sensors on one machine just yet.
No calibration nor sync was done between the 2 sensors.
Goal was to see if overlapping the views of two sensors would introduce interference like the Kinect v1.
Results seem promising and much better than expected!

I am glad you are addressing this older technology, however if it is to be relevant how about telling us why, and how to set it up. Please address head, hand and facial expressions too. I would like to know more, but it must be relevant.

Stoked to be able sync 3 Kinect v2's, achieving a 360 degree scan and eliminating the 3D shadow.

The title makes it sound like you're using two kinects with one PC - which is why I'm here. Foiled again..

How did you connect it? Do you have the Microsoft adapter? Unfortunately It is too expensive for me (the adapter) :(

Hello! Nice Job! Is there overlap interference in depth images when you use 2 kinects V2?

There can be yes, as with all other (time of flight & structured light) depth sensors currently on the market btw.

This is awesome! I just wonder how you track the skeletons of four people at the same time. Do you manual pre-assign one Kinect for each couple to track skeletons or the two Kinects cooperatively decide which couple to track? Thanks

Each Kinect v2 can detect and track up to 6 people simultaneously, nothing special required.

Sorry for the confusion. It seems that Kinect can only track the SKELETONs of two people at the same time...

The older Kinect v1 (XBox360) does only 2 people, the Kinect v2 (XBox One) can do 6.

Do you have this setup running off of one computer? I'm looking at doing a similar project for school but because this stuff is so new it's hard to find anything to go off of.

hey man! nice vídeo. you actually inspired me to buy xbox one Kinect sensor for my Macbook pro 2014... but Im having problems with my USB 3.0 controller compatibility. how did you fix this problem?

Eduardo Moncada I didn't have to fix anything, worked out of the box on Windows 8/8.1/10 native drivers. Note that you WILL need a Intel or Renesas USB3 chipset, otherwise it will not work.

So this means that my mac wont work even if I try to update The drivers from bootcamp? :(

Well I don't know which USB3 chipset is in your particular laptop.
