Shit the last time we saw Duane on an actual air date episode was Halloween of 2010. I wanna say Duane probably died a year later and he's just been up there ever since. I'm glad he was finally put down.

He lived longer as a walker than he was alive. Which is saddening when you think about it. Duane had been a zombie for 12 years and It hadn’t been a year to when he was alive.

Now that I’m older and I’m actually analyzing stuff critically I can see how brilliant it is to have a mirror version of rick and Carl in this show. Duane is what will happen to Carl if he can’t do what needs to be done; while Duane dies for not killing his mom, Carl kills Lori before she can even turn, saving him from having to do it later and protecting the group. Morgan is what will happen if rick 1: can’t prepare his kid for the apocalypse, and 2: can’t move on. We learn in FEAR that despite seeing what will happen if he holds on to his past, Morgan still keeps Duane alive because he still can’t let go (luckily he learns and saves his daughter).
