Wow, Kraus has heavy hands. Ludwig showed a lot of heart. He never seemed scared or shyed away, but he clearly got outclassed. Tough break.

At that time, Kraus showed Ludwig that there are levels to this. Kraus lost to Masato but he's definitely on his caliber of opponent.

Kraus is one of the most complete fighters of the last 25 years. He has been intelligent taking the best of every martial art he has practiced, resulting in an excellent boxer (he came to fight 7 times professionally with 7-0), excellent defense of both punching and leg, a great kick and innate talent for the skills He has also fought in Muay Thai and in fact he has won the Buakaw himself, who in turn defeated him twice but managed to take revenge. Ludwig is a beginner for Kraus. He has won by simply applying a great defense over Ludwig's low kicks and kicks and using little more than his skills and boxing. That is another great feature of Kraus: he knows how to adapt to his rivals. Kraus is the closest thing to the Jeet Kune Do I've seen about a ring.

@@bronstonmahelona7676Ludwig suffered from that ERA in having to take DANGEROUS fights against way more experienced opposition, because that was a young guys only.option to get better from losing and mistakes. Unheard of these days. Duane was just a little kid here. Some of his more elegant ko's later in his career were a direct result of hard lessons from these days.
