Great video, thanks When is the right time (yearly month) to plant the pistachio? I mean to transplant it to field? I also read that plants should be between one and two years old before transplanting them to field. Is that accurate or it can be done when they are "younger"? Thanks!

Hi, Duarte. Thank you so much about all your videos but in special about pistachio's. Can you tell me how can I know if the seeds ou the tree will be male or female? I have just got some seeds from california and I brought to Sao Paulo Brazil... and know I am concerned about the pollinization. No idea how it works.... Please share your knowleadge about this ...=-) I cant wait to get your answer.

I have a question. I have a postachio tree that is fully mature and has tons of fruit starting on it. I have one huge branch that is beginning to touch the ground. Would it be stressful to the tree if we cut it right now while it is growing such great fruit? Or, should I pick all the fruit off that 1 branch, and cut the branch in dormancy?

I live in the Mojave Desert in the U.S. I ended up just cutting it because it was so heavy, I didn't want to chance disease getting into the tree!!! Our tree is about 30 years old!!!! I hear it takes like 15 years for fruit, but they fruit for like 200 years 🤯🤯🤯

@@billyndagriffith2897 it would be good if you can use the branches for grafting. You can make a lot more trees only from buds or branches or sell it

I'm going to try that. I got this growth hormone stuff and I am going to try one of those root balls. There are still a bunch of branches that need to be cut. I am brand new to all of this!

Hi i have a question do american pistachio growers use manure as the main fertilizer or they just use chemical fertilizers or micronutrients ? the reason i'm asking this, is we here in Iran use manure as the main or even only fertilizer because most of the farmers here believe that chemical fertilizers or micronutrients damage the soil and you are not supposed to use them a lot , but a tiny percentage of your pistachio fertilizing scheme. thank you
