This video was originally released in 2014 for Visit Dublin and amassed over 500k views online. Recently I noticed it was taken down, so I've uploaded it again.
It was this poem that inspired me to write Dublin You Are!

I have lived in Dublin for 2 years and it felt like home. I think your poems beautifully capture its spirit. I am teaching English in france and I'm planning on working on your poems so that French students can grasp a bit of the Irish art and skills. Thank you for your work, it makes me feel like home.

Thanks Charlène, but just to be clear this isn't my poem. It's by Louis MacNeice. You can find my poem Dublin You Are which is an ode to this poem, you might find it useful. The full text is on my website. Cheers, S

I love this poem deeply, and the narrator absolutely nails it. And I keep coming back here when I’m homesick. Dub, 5,000 miles from home. I just played this for my kid, and he loved it too.

Hello, I'm French and I'm 13 years old. We studied Irish history in English class. My teacher made us listen to and understand this poem. I really liked your way of speaking and the words are beautiful. So thank you very much for your video which moved me a lot...

I couldn't listen to this earlier as I was at my work and saved the moment until I got home, there, relaxed and ready, on with this man's work. This is so special, It's absolutly stunning & such a beautiful piece. Wow! I got quite emotional with it if I'm honest and not ashamed to say so. Why? Because I'm still buzzing with the great city that recently honoured one of its greatest son's; Luke Kelly with the statue's revealing held a month back. I have among my old Dubliner cassettes Luke resighting the poem; Dublin by Louis MacNeice. I haven't heard this poem since childhood and it brought me right back. Stephen; you've done a remarkable job with this work and I thank you sincerely for it. What a beautiful rendition. God bless you man. Every success with it and continued strength and encouragement with the spoken word. Good luck my friend.
