it’s been about 9 years since i first played kh. man time flies. to this day, i haven’t listened to a song that has this much emotion. even some deep kpop songs, none got to this level on this kind of meaning. i remember the first time i opened the game, and looked at the disc i thought it was so pretty. once i put it into my ps2 and let the song play i was put into a trance like state. her voice is so beautiful. i actually would restart my ps2 just to listen to the song again and again. whenever i play even now on that same ps2, with the same controller, on the same tv, i still do listen to it on repeat. i can listen to this song in any mood and interpret it differently. when im feeling happy and euphoric, i feel its a love song saying someone is your safe space. when im sad i feel like it’s a song saying you’re only you when you are with this person, so your happiness is dependent on them. when im confused or scared i feel like it’s meaning you’re afraid of losing someone because they let all your fears wash away and you don’t want them back. it changes so much, there aren’t many songs that can do that to a person

the harmony of utada's voice is what brings it back for me...i was half expecting the beat to overpower and drown it but they melded perfectly. ..
