This is a guide for installing Ducabike clear clutch cover which requires hydraulic clutch conversion. The guide is for all necessary steps but I expect you to look at included service manual and Ducabike instructions for torque values etc. This will only help you understand how too look at the manual. It is a great resource.
Please note that Ducabike recommends this be installed by professional mechanics.
NOTE: I made a mistake in text at 8:20 where I stated that you don't need to use 8mm ball in pressure plate. YOU DO! I've made annotation correction but in case you don't have annotations turned on, FYI.

I've watched this so many times because of the background music and now youtube recommended me this again. Now I'm a bit of a mechanic myself and I finally understand what this guy's doing. I don't own a monster but the video is so extremely well made that I now have a general idea on how to change the clutch pads or change the cover

Enjoying the video thinking it's not often I see a job being done the same as I do things, then all of a sudden I see pliers on a bleeder instead of an 8mm spanner. Good video though and everybody should be grateful to the likes of you taking time to show this stuff.

Fantastic work with the footage, explains things very clear, at least it shows that if you put some elbow grease and some passion a ducati wont be that expensive to maintain, maybe its only a myth. I wish someday we will see a video of how to do the valve adjustment. Well done again with the video and all the effort you put in it.

For those who converting hydraulics without the clear clutch cover. You also need the plug for clutch cable hole on the right side and of course the clutch slave. And for the sprocket. I believe you can use the 1200 sprocket cover. 10x cheaper then the aftermarket ones. Hope this info helps. Tq!

Great Video, excellent workflow! I have an Hypermotard 821 and previously owned two Hyper 1100 (both stolen!!!). Never understood why Ducati decided to go the cheap way with the 821 engines and clutch cables instead of hydraulic ones. Seriously thinking to do the mod. Looking at your video looks like is doable by someone with good mechanical skills like me. I am missing the jaw press for the OEM bearing and pin part though...All the best !

Damn dude, both stollen? That sucks :/ Yeah, this is not hard to do at all. There are a lot of steps but you should be able to do this in an afternoon. Of course it took me couple of days because of filming and it being insanely hot outside but I put in about an hour of actual work.

So nice mod man..I'm buying all the components this days, but i have a question..what about the dirty oil on the plexiglass? Did you get some overdirty problems on a long time or is it enough clean? I'm scary to spend lot of money to get an extremely dirty plexiglass all the time
@HoldFastFilms
@HoldFastFilms 2 жыл бұрын
Plexiglass stays clean. Even when oil is present, it doesn’t look dirty. There isn’t much of it anyway and it just slides down. When you are done with the ride, oil goes down quickly and it doesn’t look dirty at all. If for some reason you get buildup over time, plexiglass is very easy to remove and clean.

excuse the question a little ignorant to install the clear clutch cover system is it necessary to change the clutch system for the Hydraulic Clutch Conversion? is it really necessary to hire a specialized mechanic? Well, I have had a motorcycle for 8 years and I have basic knowledge of motorcycle mechanics, but to carry out this work the accessories are already quite expensive and hiring a mechanic to do the work would be another additional cost, well my question is, can I do this process without requiring a mechanic?

Yes, hydraulic conversion is mandatory for the clear cover. Since i don’t know you or your abilities, i can’t really answer your question but what i can say is that i am not a mechanic and do not have a whole lot of experience with motorcycles. Hope that helps.

That's not likely, unfortunately. I have not ridden the bike since last summer and I have nothing to work on anyway. There isn't anything interesting when it comes to aftermarket parts and I have no maintenance to do for a long time.

No cross tightening. No torque specs, and NEVER say it's ok to use needle nose on a bleeder. Go get a bleeder wrench, or a 6 sided 8mm (should be 8mm, but if not the correct size in a 6 sided). Other then that nice clean video. Nice looking bike, and love the clear cover. Wonder if or how bad the inside will start to discolor over time ?

Nice video, quality camerawork! So what is the difference? Why make this conversion? Is it worth it? I ask because I don't know myself, because all I ever owned and still own is a hydraulic clutch bike, a Honda VFR800 5th Gen.
