Here's a step by step video of an oil change on this 2002 Ducati Monster 750 motorcycle. Ever wonder how many quarts of oil to put into your Ducati Monster? I'll explain what works for me and show the simple procedure to maintain your bike. It usually takes a little over 3 quarts of oil depending on what oil filter you use on your Ducati and show this in pretty good detail in the video.
Plus at the end of the video I set the camera up to just record some of the great sound this V twin bike makes and let it idle and give it a few good revs. The dual Remus Grand Prix cans on this thing sound amazing so enjoy!
I will do a feature video cruising the Monster up a local canyon road on this tired but great riding motorcycle in the future!

Hi Jason. Wow, what memories. I used to work at a Motorcycle shop in the late '80's and I did hundreds of oil changes, tires, Tune ups, ect. I miss those days, lol. I love your Ducati. I figure If I ever get another bike it'll be something similar. That Remus exhaust sounds awesome. ttyl -Drew

Thanks Drew! That's cool you used to wrench on bikes...this VERY tired old bike has a good story that I'll try to get on video soon. Getting cold out here so my new 5AM commute may be more in my Jeep!

I thought it was wise (on cars at-least) to have the engine at-least warm to change the oil so its a lot less viscous

Yes, a good idea...but I would not say anything gets hurt by doing an oil change.

The idea is by having it warm it drains easier and faster, doing it yourself you can let it sit and drain a little longer, also if you run full synthetic oil, the oil is less viscous while cold compared to dino oil. In my mustang I move it out of the garage on to the drive way, by the time I get it jacked up its pretty cool when it comes out. I also rather not burn myself on hot exhaust which on this bike seems very likely.

+Jorge mendonça So far, this bike has really been reliable as a commuter bike and fairly comfortable. Other than oil changes, it hasn't needed any other repairs. Thanks for checking it out!
