It sounds even better in person. When the salesman started my new bike, there was just a moment where I thought, "Uh-oh, it might actually be TOO loud..." but after a few seconds I was like, "No, this is just right!" =) The sound is GLORIOUS. Even after I stop and park somewhere, I'm reluctant to shut it off because it just sounds so good, even sitting there idling. Oh, and going through tunnels and parking garages is AWESOME. I love setting off the car alarms. :)

Marty, this is the video that cemented in my decision to get both this bike and the full Termi system four years ago. I've loved every minute of riding her. That exhaust should be standard on EVERY bike Ducati sells, (except for that funky Scrambler thing). Just listening to that engine scream is wonderful. It's like it's constantly reminding me, urging me, that it can do more, it can go faster. It's furious roar at speed makes you feel like you're at the font of the pack in a world superbike race, and even at idle, the frenetic chortle sounds like raw power just waiting to be unleashed.

Through my research i’m under the impression that you can fit the plastic top box, normally found on the S models, to the enduro model even though you never see it. True or false?

Yes, I have the std red multistrada top box on my enduro; haven't checked whether the panniers would fit

stubbs22 Really?? My dealer told me that the answer is “technically, yes. It CAN be done but the subframe is different on the enduro so it’s not a direct fit”. So to clarify, you’re saying that the bracket for the plastic, clamshell-like, top box mounts directly to the enduro model without modification?

Marty I have a 30 inch leg seam too is that a lowered seat ? I know on the 2018 models they offered lower seats as the bike seat was far too high

Kasif, I can tell you that I have the standard seat, and a 30-inch inseam. I can put the balls of both feet on the ground in boots, but in shoes I'm on my toes. It's fine unless you accidentally step down into something slippery and your foot slides.

It has the full Termignoni exhaust with up-map which increases HP by 5-10% depending on the rpm. That’s where he got those numbers.

whilst the exhaust sounds fantastic, I can't see the point of putting one on a touring bike. surely the sound would drive you insane after an hour or two.

Oh no - it sounds GLORIOUS. As long as you have Ducati performance in your soul. Now, in all seriousness, I would say that if your idea of riding is just a very soft, quiet, uneventful sort of ride somewhere, then maybe the exhaust (and the whole bike) isn't for you. But part of the allure of any Duc (except for that bastard child Scrambler) is that no matter what "type" of bike it is, it will do that job just fine, but it still has the heart and soul of a superbike. That performance, and that "personality" is there. You feel it when you ride. It's there for you to exploit. Every curve (yes this thing will go over scary far on knobbies), every time you pass, every on-ramp... all there to thrill you. But again, if that's not your thing, then you are correct, this pipe probably would not be for you. But in that case, I would probably steer you away from this bike, too. If I wanted a full-size adventure bike without all the personality and spice, I would absolutely go for a BMW GS. It's a great bike in it's own way, but with a more mature, less scrappy, personality.

I tested that Beemer last year... those vibes around 5K RPM were a deal breaker.
