Wow I'm blown away at the fact that you said it's not very flickable. I beg to differ, I've been on tons of sport bikes I grew up on Japanese bikes, I've had many types of bikes including the RSV4, this is the best handling motorcycle I have ever owned. I see you're not running the super course SP a taller tire, the taller tire causes you to drop into turns far better than a flatter tire, it looks to me like you're running a flatter type tire, that will take the flick ability away. People need to learn that the type of tire you run also has everything to do with your cornering ability. And the flicability.
@primitiveflier
@primitiveflier 2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for your observation. Not saying you’re incorrect but do keep in mind this is just from my perspective. I had the 2020 RSV4 1100 Factory and it just felt way more nimble than the Ducati - even during the time I had the 60 tall tire SPs on the Ducati..
@element7us
@element7us 2 жыл бұрын
Mark I agree with you. The Ducati is definitely the more agile of the two especially with the SP tires. One thing I always recommend to anyone is to get the suspension professionally tuned. This in my opinion is the best mod anyone can do to affect the handling of the bike.

@@primitiveflier did you ever try lowering the front 2-5mm and raising the rear similarly that would cure the issue of turning in. It does take a bit of time ride and repeat til ya find the sweet spot. Also the choice of certain tire profiles along with tweaking the width. Picking a similar road or going to the track so that the variable is similar and you should be able to feel it but riding consistently is key to keep variables down and repeat......
@primitiveflier
@primitiveflier Жыл бұрын
@@DAVIDEPWDD I agree with you for sure there’s a few things you can do like you mentioned to improve handling. At this point I set everything stock with the same exact tires I run on all of my bikes and compare. Thanks for your input for sure ! ✌️

V4!! The s1000rr was so unreliable. I owed one and sold it within six months. Water pump fail and engine shut off on me two times mid turn !! Also had a rattling noise on the engine and vibrations were unbearable.

Videos like this give me the itch to ride again! It's been roughly 8 years! I used to own a 2013 1199S in the Arctic White color before life circumstances forced me to sell it. I had a dark tinted windscreen from Memphis Shades along with a ton of carbon fiber parts. The base paint was a glossy pearly white color with flecks of silver metallic in the paint. In the sunlight, it sparkled like freshly fallen snow. Hope to get a V4S in the next couple of years. If they made one in that same Arctic White color, it'd be gorgeous!

Great video. I just bought a 2020 V4s and I already own a 2016 R1M. And honestly the Ducati is way easier to daily than the R1M. The throttle is easy to control and it gets much better gas mileage. Neither are made for commuting so you really can’t complain, but I do the the Ducati is easier.

Hey buddy love your bike so beautiful and so cool. Really like watching your video's the one i like about you is you don't ride like an idiot like so many other guy's on their bike's weaving in and out of traffic or reving their bike's to it's rev limiter i can't stand that and it can't be good to the motor i can understand if your riding and you take it to the rev limiter but not on purpose like so many of these guy's showing off at a light or just doing it on purpose. I've been riding for 35yrs and i said in another video of yours, you are someone i would ride with cause you seem like you take your riding so serious and do do stupid shit on the road like so many other guy's do and act like the streets are a race track. Thanks for the video ride safe buddy. God Bless.

I have had 12 bikes and to just get this bike out and start it is the best feeling. . I can't wait for the spring. Probably like the v4. To just get her out wash her and polish in the winter. Same feeling. Great review. Also to point out only his opinion do don't slate him for giving a view. Like the 999 not to everyone's taste. Good job were all different. Life would be boring. Was gonna get 2021 BMW RR demo with m package. Then I saw the 2019 panagale V4 for almost 1/2 of a new of a 2022 but with the full akro system and Ducati akro power upgrade. Tail tighty done and he added the dry carbon bits too. So far so good I love it. Your right I didn’t expect to get the attention this bike gets. I thought it was got another superbike like how cares.

I don’t have experience with the H2. All i know is that it’s stupid fast in a straight line and definitely a lot of people will ask about it when you’re in a bike meet. But the Ducati is just way more elegant and more practical. H2 is definitely just good for short bursts not a commuter. Plus Panigale you get the fancy ohlins suspension when you get the S model. Finally I can’t imagine the wait times if you need parts on the H2… There’s not a whole lot of aftermarket replacement parts to my knowledge. All the best!

Get the V4; I’ve ridden the V2 and the throttle delivery is more or less the same; but obviously the V4 will have more top end. Plus you can tune down the settings when you’re starting out. The Panigale has so much electronics to aid you as a rider. No need to use it otherwise when the engine slows down the rear. I rarely use aids on my ZX10R and my rear pads are original with about 4,000 miles, the fronts were roasted at 4K and I put race pads on it, the rotors are fine but there is a lot of bluing on them. Buying the V4S tomorrow and using my ZX10 for hard track days, light days I will use the Ducati bc I do not want to dump it and at 9/10-10/10 that is 100% happening. The S1K for me was a more upright seating position but I felt more cramped since I have longer arms. Again, these bikes are out on most dealers so you should sit on them before getting it. 8:39 nope mate, that is the classic misconception of the automotive world. Is like to say that Maserati or Alfa Romeo as part of the Stellantis Group are enginereed by americans and french and share the same brakes of a Lancia. Companies that are part of a group have their own tax reasons and their own capital, it is not an obligation to share technologies etc, you just have to make a profit and adhere to the guidelines in terms of governance systems, compliance and so no. Then you are completely independent and you only stay in the group if you make a profit. Lamborghini and Ducati are totally developed and designed by Italians in Italy both for electronics, engineering and so on. Having said that, the situation about Lambo is a bit different cause they share some parts with AUDI and Porsche for obvius cost reason cause they both produce cars. Ducati in the VW Group is the only motorcycle company, so Ducati build and develop the products from its R&D Depts e Style Center. How do I know that? Come here in Borgo Panigale :)

It’s easy to ride and like I’ve mentioned it’s got a lot of rider aids which makes it safe.

@@primitiveflier fair enough, the rider aids help a lot I'm sure but it's still a rocket. Definitely something I'd want to have from the get go.

@@thedragonofechigo7878 of course. Don’t be dumb. You can ride a fast bike slow. It’s no different to riding a slow bike slow.
