Jaret Campisi You have to keep in mind that the R1M and the ZX10R is modded. The Ducati is not. The Ducati would destroy us if it had the same mods.

But the v4 has 105 more ccs and costs $5-10k more. So I'd expect it to keep up from stock spec.

Yeah true. V4 engines can be timed differently as to firing frequencies. I prefer the sound of a Vmax or RSV4 for the same reason I like crossplane V8 sounds. Yamaha i-4 crossplane is similar to Aprilia in sound. I like the bassy booming sounds of 90° Vtwins or 270° parallel twins. But I go through stages of what I like and don't like. Triples are my preference in even firing engines.

ZX10R Ant Yes ZX10’s have amazing top end power, I actually think they are faster than the S1000RR’s.

Outspokentiger same I think the s1000rr are better geared for roll racing though or they have more mid range while the kawi has more top end. My zx10r is all low end grunt but it’s a 05’. I rode a friends 2011 & the top end was insane. He’s -1 on the rear to make it even more insane.

ZX10R Ant I usually get passed on the top end by ZX10s, my bike slows down on the top end, but I still have some more tweaking to do to get my bike a little faster.

To be honest they both make pretty reliable engines.

Andrew Carpenter sorry but this will be a bad dessision.Yes Man the v4 Ducati is great i dont wont talk Bad i also driving a Ducati,but if you just owning a RSV4 RF i dont think that this will be a good To sellit for a V4 Ducati.Because the Aprilia is outstanding and on Track not slover than the Ducati for shure also the RSV4 has a good Power.Only Reason for Ducati is that this Bike work better for Street use the Aprilia it was from the beginning since 2010 a Race focused Bike and Aprilia has build the RSV4 only for on Reason to winning the SBK.And today the rsv4 still the best Track Bike next to the R1 M theare is no doubt.

The BMW is quickly getting outclassed by Japanese machines. It was important to jump start the market when it's 193 hp was announced in 2009. It's now just one of group today. ZX-10R, GSX-R1000, and R1/M can make the same power with proper tunes and often more torque where the short stroke Beemer lacks it.
