For everyone concerned about how she slept, she said it felt like a pillow and kept it in for over a week long.

@Duchesscarml

I don't think it was too grown. It was 2 braids. I do think its a little too big, she could have made them a little smaller. But her edges should be fine. She separated out her baby hairs and her and her daughter held on to the braid when she was braiding it to keep it from pulling on small piece of hair then she sewed it down. I do wonder how she slept though 😂

Beautiful child and hair style. I see you take pride in your talent and showcasing it on your daughter. Please just take a minute to reconsider the constant tension and weight on her edges. It can result in a lifetime of heartache and trying to regrow edges that will probably not thrive. She deserves to have healthy and strong edges.

@marjorieharrell4185

Though I disagree with the too "grown" POV, I mean absolutely no disrespect. She was getting her hair done at home and is dressed accordingly. It's kind of like when u try on clothes in the florescent lighting of the dressing room and to top it off, you are no where near "done-up"... You get on ur tippy toes (like u hv on heels), tilt your head (hitting the angles), and position your body to the side. You have to visualize the end goal and not be a slave to what u see. I don't believe the style is too "grown" for her. Yes the braids are larger than what is normally demonstrated on her in previous videos, but I'm sure she will wear them with grace.

I see thinning hair as a result of over braiding, over combing and wigs. I see these a lot in.our African women. Not judging, just stating

@@trinikaisofan5192 I understand this but what do you call it when someone has naturally thin edged and so do BOTH OF THEIR PARENTS. I'm also just stating and not judging. Which is what I've noticed the 20+yrs of being around people and their families.. sometimes it's just in the genes. What you're saying is defo a serious issue though

It's not suppose to be tight and it definitely doesn't suppose to cause a headache to the point you have to take medication for it. If that is you in your profile picture, not all braiders know how to properly grip/braid your texture of hair. You have to find someone with experience.

People they're called butterfly braids not two french braids. You have to add hair for this effect. My little cousin got hers done like this for her birthday. This is the look they were going for. I don't think it makes her look grown or older at all. It's cute. She did a good job
