My husband was a huge duck hunter also bass fisherman. He taught me a lot of the outdoors, some I already knew. He taught me, I taught him some things. Often visited Louisiana since family members lived there Alexandria/Pineville, he went to school in Tioga. We both worked Heavy Industrial Construction (pumping station) on the banks of Logansport. We would fish during work hours with Head Supervisor knowing what we were doing then having our famous fish fry’s after work. Whew I can remember the cheese fish bait smell to this day we used in the traps😵💫I really miss those days now that he is gone. I so much enjoy ya’lls series I watch and rewatch yes I know some is scripted but totally enjoyable. God Bless ya’ll‼️

Oh my! what a treat that would be! My contribution for letting me tag along would be facilitating my Chocolate Lab to retrieve all of the ducks from the river. I'd cook them to perfection on an open flame fire seasoning them w my very own secret spices and of course I'd volunteer in partaking of the meal afterward! lol! 🐶 🦆🦆🦆🔥🍽 😋

He is correct on blue wing teal being first. I'm in upstate ny. We get the teal in first here. Alot of times they pass before our northern opener. If mallards and widgeon in thick teal are thin.

That's a Browning A5. Great shotgun, and the same model I learned to shoot on. My buddy's grandpa had a "Sweet 16" and taught me how to shoot. Miss that gun, and Pop! God Bless!

Always use batter with 2 eggs, hand as eggs separately, when eisjed, as and air mixes in well, drop the birds in a large mixing bowl, measure the shelf rising flour in the a clean mixing bowl, ad d about a 1/ cup of flour in the bowl and ad 1/ cup of black pepper and a few salts ,like Mortins or cajun seasoning. To your taste, , but not to hot, to over whelm your wife, or friends, , online, will burn, so do not use fresh onion not to over

I growed up killing what I ate but always I hated tha killing. Im a old man now and I woud sooner starve than kill a cute little critter like a duck. Killing fer sport aint fer me .Walk In peace&beauty.

Well you starve and I'll fill my belly. Mmmmmmm! Good stuff. I'm sure you eat some type of meat. Do you think we wait for it to die of natural causes before we eat that piece of meat. Nope! We kill it we eat it end of story.

Listen Lord gave us animal's to eat. The junk meat we've been getting in stores lately makes me want to hunt again. If u dont thin the animals out than u have big problems. They do this once a year? Give it a rest. These folks eat em and share them.

In the book of Leviticus 11, God lists the actual species of meat that are fit 2eat. As far as birds goes, chicken, turkey, duck, geese, quail etc are all clean species; There are traditions regarding kashrut, but those are enactments of the rabbis that were added later and are not Scriptural. Now, birds of prey or raptors such as vultures, (buzzards) eagles, condors, hawks etc are generally not fit to eat according to Biblical guidelines. I like me a nice juicy duck with duck sauce! lol! 🦆 ♡
