Great video! Seeing both compared in the same review is really nice; makes it even easier to appreciate the attention to detail the Remastered team took into consideration. I'd love it if more of the Capcom NES/SNES classics were given the HD update, too!

I normally don't like remakes but Tony Brasel...I agree 100% with virtually everything you said in your review. Getting to experience the DuckTales universe again (with the original voice actors as well...Alan Young gave one final SUPERB performance IMO...so happy to hear his legendary voice in this game) with the updated visuals, music, and even two new stages (the final one is SO much better than in the original NES game too)...it gave me goosebumps as well. You've got me wanting to fire up this game again too! Excellent review once again!

OK first! awesome episode!. Second, I'm so thrilled to hear your take on this. I was on the fence about it after watching Gamespot's revew...I know I know...my bad. They went off on it because it was like an old game that didn't have a myriad of check points and hand holding as modern games do. Great review Brasel. I'm sure you heard but Ducktales is actually making a comeback with a new cartoon series. That'll be interesting.

This was an awesome review, man. Loved the Star Salzman "Moon Theme" remix in the background - such a fantastic tune! Haven't played the Remastered version, but been hearing awesome things about it. Love the artwork and design; and the gameplay looks like it stays pretty true to the NES installment. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this one, man - definitely gonna be picking that up soon!

My main dude Cross Chop actually got me this for PS3 a Christmas or two ago. It was a grand time to play. The music and art design were probably my two favorite parts of the game, and the gameplay itself was also a welcome revisitation of classic platforming adventure. I'm with you in hoping for a Chip and Dale remake too!

Great video. It's much more focused than what I did a couple weeks ago. I didn't mention it in my video, but DuckTales Remastered was the first game I played from beginning to end after getting my Wii U about a month or so ago. It's funny, when I went to play the original for my review, I actually got so used to the controls of the remastered that I played absolutely terrible.

Come on, we all know we want an Aladdin SNES remaster. Favorite game & movie growing up!

Good video dude! Some people rag on the new DuckTales for being too slow due to the character dialogue, but I thought it was awesome to listen to. Plus you can always skip cutscenes so I don't know why that's even a legit complaint, haha! Also yeah, the friggin Transylvania remix is amazing! And the music for Mt. Vesuvius is SO GOOD...the new stages fit perfect, both structure and soundtrack-wise! Good video man, as usual! :D - Adam

I wish that WayForward would release Ducktales Remastered on PS4, Xbox One and Switch because this is an amazing game. Also, Europe did get Xbox 360 and Wii U digital versions, even if they weren’t physical copies.

Both the classic and the remastered were amazing,the remastered version is what someone like us in the age we are knowing the entire lore of the series and games the thing we waited for.Speaking about age i believe though that would be hard enough to reach the newer crowds since remastered versions from classics like that one were meant mostly for us rather the newer bunch.So i fear that we will not see soon another remastered like that close to darkwing duck or chip & dale.I felt the same goosebumps when i saw the first trailer and couldn't believe my eyes to what i saw,seriously a remastered version of ducktales sign me up! But ihave some few complaints about the extra modes and the special edition that give only tothe few.For instance since those few took that freaking lunch box with an nes cartridge why not something for the fans as well,like a boxed version with a small golden statue of scrooge or the freaking lucky dime in a small display replica like in the cartoons.And an artbook with the soundtrack and the game in a steel book.Iwould gladly give for something like that even 70-80 bucks since i am a freaking huge fan.But from the start it seemed that they were experimenting and didn't risk too much as i expected.Also about th unlockables why they didn't include the original ducktales with the new stages in 8bit as well,they did worked the music in 8bit for the game but not a word about the classic and that was one of my biggest dissapointments to tell you the truth.Overall a great title for the old bunch worked beautifully.

DuckTales remastered was my favorite game (along with batman 3) and i was so sad when it got too scratched. And the batman game came out snapped in half when it came out 😢 It's been 7 years but I'm still sad 😢

I still haven't gotten around to playing the HD version yet... Definitely have to now!

I wonder is the success of this game is what has lead to the upcoming return of the cartoon show.
