Lorrie Marie. I have had so much fun this week watching your videos. I have been having to stay in bed and prop my foot up all week. Out of them all this one looks like so much fun. I have little drawers full of stuff to glue on and use. Nothing with a flat surface is safe here anymore....after I can walk again..lol and I even have lots of cardboard precut...I will come back to play with you on this table ....thanks. 🤗💛

I've made some duct tape cardboard book covers many, many years ago. Never thought of putting things under the tape. Thanks for the great ideas and wonderful instructive video. God bless, Linda Winchell

This has to be one of the easiest junk journals on the planet to make- with just a few bits and bobs- and a little duct foil tape- you can make this cover out of anything- including cardboard- like you did here for our challenge!!

here’s another piece I want to make. This is very good example, but I especially like the cover of the book-from corrugated cardboard, no less! And duct tape. I need to make a trip to my local hardware store for that and a few other goodies. I’ll be scouting around the house for the odd charm and other small items for the front cover. I think, though that I may use a few gell prints as backgrounds, too, which may encourage more art work. Thanks again, LM!

Nice, rather gorgeous, never did eyelets on inside & outside & I have tons of that special duct tape( I wrap that around my dryer vent outside. I never thought about using that tape for journals , thanks so much...

Very nice tutorial, and it's with things we already have. I love it! But, where I live that tape is not duct tape. So if you live in Ohio and are looking for it, it's called furnace tape. I love that stuff. I use it a lot too when doing steampunk style. But this idea with cardboard is genius!! Thank you for sharing. :)

I like the book you made, it looks great!! My husband was going to try and tape an old box together but I put dibs on it and now have a lot of cardboard. Glad I found what this month's challenge is. Thanks for all you do, and as I've been going through containers of art supplies, I sent a box of books and some art stuff to my 7 year old grandson in Florida. I also have a surplus of ephemera and a lot of it is old papers that I must have bought ages ago. If you tell me where to mail it to when I get it together I'm happy to share. Take care lady!

Just a heads up for those of you who live in Oregon. The duct tape that is sold at Lowe's has the brand name stamped in red all over it and it does not come off. Finally found Scotch Foil tape at my local O'Reilly auto store and at a very reasonable price.

Oh yes! I'm going to give this a go! Only one difference (artistic license, as you say) and have the page signatures a bit shorter inside the cover. I don't have the same duct tape, but can make do with what I have.

You are literally going to be 20 minutes away from where I live - I been telling my husband I need to get to Milford one of these weekends to check the antique stores out! I absolutely LOVE this book! I have quite a bit of corrugated cardboard and some metal and wooden bits and bobs in my stash. What I don't have is duct tape. Is it possible to use double sided tape and aluminum foil? I can wait until the 15th when I get paid and go to Lowe's but I would rather to do it now. 😉 Yes, I am quite impatient at times, especially when I get really inspired. 😁

Thoughts (the questions don't need answers): I wonder if aluminum foil could be used instead of that duct tape? I'm going to have fun searching for goodies to embed. Why would she say 'hang in there'? I'm digging this deliciousness! How does she keep from getting paper cuts when she rubs that paint (or sometimes stabillo) around the edges with her fingers? Aren't her sleeves getting in the paint? I like the wonky signature effect!

I sooooo.....LOVE this project! ....I am trying to view all your videos in chronological order, is there any place they are listed as such? .....I really JUST hate the idea of missing something awesome! ....I also love the idea of watching people with more experience, than myself in different areas of creativity, evolve as artists. .....That process is a real inspiration for me. .....I am hoping to always keep growing and also to evolve, into the most creative person I can be. (....Kind of makes me excited and want to hang around just long enough,to find out which best version of me that,I am going to turn into!.... My current projected time line,is at the very least, until I reach the age of 109....considering that is the age, that my best friend left us..... (not that SHE shared that information ...She was a little too vain,to admit being over 80!), but we knew that she had outlived 4 husbands and an ancient family bible, had her actual birth recorded......(She also died driving a tractor across a highway,with her pipe in her mouth,cussing at a big rig!!!!...long story, but true!) ANYWAY,...I do not really know much about patreon,but I am interested. ......Also, if someone cannot afford an every month amount....and just wants to donate a "thank you"..... once in awhile,(when they have an extra dollar or two)...and NOT to expect any benefits or extra content... (....If I understand how patreon works 🤔)... .....If someone just wants to support the process, in someway,when they can. ....Can that even happen?....
