Here's my personal Top 10 Light Cards of the English Duel Masters cards. It was really tough to choose these Top 10 cards because the Light civilization is just so varied with all the different kinds of effects the Light Civilization can provide.

Been re-watching the anime and I got to say it's gotten me back into wanting to play or watch the game being played again. Do you think there are places where I could buy a deck and maybe find somewhere or someone to do it with? Heard there's a mobile game coming out.

I'm definitely second-guessing myself now that I look at Alcadeais more closely. I think I just put him lower for the fact that you can only use him if you make deck to support it whether the other cards mentioned can be used in many different kinds of decks. What makes a card good, imo, is that it brings a great effect to the game at a good cost and is versatile enough to be used in multiple deck types. Alcadeais fulfills 2/3 conditions in that case, and for that, he should've been higher.

this card game brings back memories...i remember playin this from 2005 to 2008 ...i had like 20 thousand cards...from base set all the way from thrash of the mega hybrids...:).

Many of these cards are from Hakuo's Light deck which is awesome! Though, I was surprised you didn't include Hanusa.

I liked your top 10 card of each civilization, but I think in the top 10 light card u could mention Jil Warka, Time Guardian!

There could possible be one in the future, but definitely not this year. I'm thinking they will either set up a banlist sometime in 2014 or they will incorporate a cycle/block system like they do in Magic and Pokemon way later into the game.

I love Kilstine but the proper with that is it being a Wave Striker which makes it kinda bad unless you are running something like N/L Strikers with Ninja Pumpkin etc and Comet Eye which is awesome. Looking forward to the top 10 Multi-Civ cards but just hope Bombazar isn't mentioned!

That Cosmic Darts can be kinda broken since its ANY spell and not just shield triggers. Larba Geer was a MUST in my old light deck. I didnt see my first holo card though which was what my old guardian deck was based on getting out. Ladia Bale, the Inspirational. 6 Drop, 9500, Guardian, Evolution, Blocker, Double Breaker.

sieg balicula the intense should've made top ten. level 3 evolution creature and power of 5000 but his ability is what makes him a good card to have. when his in the battle zone all of your light creatures becomes blockers. with two of him and your strongest light creatures, your opponent will have a hard time breaking through your impenetrable wall of light.

Thrumiss, Zephyr Guardian has to be at least in top 3. It is basically an unlimited holy awe . It is so ridiculous that after a certain time your opponent cant even summon a creature!

there is light's one of the powerful blockers Kuukai,finder of karma each time it blocks it untaps allowing it to take huge attacks from different creatures all by itself,also with a power of 10500, that's huge... :)

that card suckks as it requires a mecha thunder to evolve,witch are really nice offencive cards e.g. cards like la guile,seeker of skyfire. moreover it cannot attack . for a substitute i like subzs kin,twilight guardian

Unfortunately no. DM is kind of a thing in the past especially with all the Kaijudo buzz going around here in North America. However, I do still follow what goes on in the DM OCG to see what decks are doing good and what new cards come out. I'm happy to see that Psychics aren't as crazy as they used to be thanks to some of the banlist cards and tons of anti-Psychic cards :P

Alcadeias definitely should make it to the top 3 list. I build a deck around rushing out alcadeias and controlling from there, and got 2nd in a locals. Card is tooooooooo underated

It comes from Magic: the Gathering. That game is similar to DM in that it has 5 colors: White, blUe, Black, Red, Green. so RUB = Red/Blue/Black, where as in DM, it would be WDF (Water, Dark, Fire).

Keep in mind there hasn't been a banlist in DM for more than 15 sets, so there we go .. Although Dragon of Destiny was banned in some tournaments ..

The thing is, this top 10 is geared more towards the versatility of a card as well as how good the card is on it's own. Sure, Alcadeias is good, but he can't be used in every deck. Holy Awe is just one of those cards where you even splash it in 4 in any deck if you really wanted and that's just how awesome the card is. Yea, maybe Alca should be a little higher up, but it's really only that low because I don't see it being used as much, but feel like it should because it's an insane card.

Exactly~ I still think Mist Rias is nuts on paper, then again, I've never had the experience to try him out, so I could just be blurting out nonsense. Either way, I can't see how bad it is considering the potential huge amount of draw you can get off this guy. Sure, he's not that great at 1 in the OCG, but when you can use more than 1 of this guy, it gets pretty insane.

Also, if you watched the whole video, I mention other notable cards, and you just said like 3 of them lol. I know how awesome Pala, Jil and Nariel are, but next time, you should really watch the whole video before just spurting random Light cards like that ;)

yuliana definitely should have been here i would replace cosmic darts or larba geer with it. also galklife dragon is an aid to alcadeias, which removes light blockers or petrovas or yulianas.

I wouldn't have put Magris either if he wasn't used so much in Earth's vids. It's just a nice card to have when you're using Craze and or no water civ, but like I said, I'd 100% rather use Water draw if I really wanted to draw cards. Phal is nuts in English meta, I know Chief de Baura or whatever is in Japan, but that's Japan. The point here is that field presence is the most important part of this game. When similar effects are on creature and spell, using the creature is almost always better.

Just giving my two cents, but really it isn't worth that much, unless you have tons of mana boost. And come to think of it, blocker-kills could easy take it out and put everything to waste. 11 mana could definitely be used more efficiently. Unless you have Heaven's Gate of course...though only in OCG.

I'm always partial to La Ura for being decent bait, but its hard to value it in a top10. Holy Awe for the english game is definitely first place.

im a dark and water player but i play with a frei, visier of air and ur Pale, seeker of sunlight but you should use it in a light deck for its effect witch gives it +2000 for dropin 4 it powerful

At least Nariel . Because when combined with Noble Enforcer (Cross Gear when unnatached creatures with 2k or less cant attack) creates a pretty abusable lock that only creatures with 2,5k can actually go trough Q.Q

mist rias as one of the top cards cause its ability. i'm surprised you never mentioned Mongrel man in your list of darkness cards. his ability is the opposite of mist rias.

maybe something, DM or Kaijudo themed? like Carl Reddish did in sime of his earlier videos? or maybe it could change with a green screen to have different easter eggs every video, like maybe a drill from gurren lagann or gargle with a word bubble that says "Organized Play?! Delete system 32!"

I just made a deck, considering most of the cards you mentioned. Here it is: 4x La Ura Giga, Sky Guardian; 2x Sol Galla, Halo Guardian; 2x Solar Ray; 4x Sarius, Vizier of Supression; 4x Miele, Vizier of Lightning; 2x Senatine Jade Tree; 2x Larba Geer, the Immaculate; 2x Magris, Vizier of Magnetism; 2x Dia Nork, Moonlight Guardian; 4x Kolon, the Oracle; 3x Aeris, Flight Elemental; 1x Mist Rias, Sonic Guardian; 4x Holy Awe; 3x Crazed Valkyre, the Drastic and last, but not least: 1x Alcadeias, Lord of Spirits. I made it strategically, It's a pro tapping Light Deck, mainly Initiates and Guardians, with a small bit of Angel Command power, so I think it's very balanced, I tested it and it destroys other decks like they're nothing. What do you think?

bandanaboy47 Crystal Lancer, Crystal Paladin and poof, there goes your immortal defence... if you are even able to get to 8 mana and summon 2 Mihail and a Kuukai before you are completely destroyed. It's risky having a deck like that, great power = great risk. I usually never go above 6 mana in any deck to be honest and I have a balance of mana across the deck as well.

Claude Alpha I played something similar back in the day, I still keep the deck with me since it's my favorite DM Deck, it's more focused on the turn 6 craze valk and instead of mono light is Light Water to use tajimal and get some more draw power to ensure you get to turn 6 vs rush and that you draw into your craze valks. Light: x4 Sarius, Vizier of Supression(Initiate) x3 Miele, Vizier of Lightning (Initiate) x3 Magris, Vizier of Lightning (Initiate) x2 Kolon, the Oracle x4 Craze Valkyrie, The Drastic x3 Holy Awe Water: x4 Emeral x4 Aqua Hulcus x1 Thrash Crawler x1 Illusionary Merfolk x4 Corile x3 Aqua Surfer. x2 Energy Stream Multiciv: x2 Tajimal, Vizier of Aqua (Initiate) The curve caps at 6 Mana, more than 1/4 of the deck is bait for Craze( 6 on turn 2, 3 on turn 3 and 3 on turn 4). The strategy is pretty simple, in the early game you play down some blockers, you've got some slight tapping power in the form of Miele and Kolon(so if your opponent refuses to attack with something you can tap it and kill it) and a solid amount of draw power via Magris, Aqua Hulcus, Energy Stream and since we're running 4 Emeral and 4 Corile, Illusionary Merfolk always gets 3 cards and is a pretty large body. Hold on until turn 6, on turn 6 Drop Craze and start taking board control, once you have a single Craze on board, Corile locking your opponents is huge(specially if you get to Corile + Miele) or even a second Craze. The game usually ends by turn 8/9 at that point.

I run 4 corile and 4 emeral, the one illusionary merfolk can be very neat in the right situation, turn 5 create a 4000 body +3 cards then turn 6 valk, tap two creatures, valk takes one and since Illusionary merfolk is a fairly large body that can at least clash with the other tapped creature. It's pretty nice as a one of when you have 8 ciberlords
