The quickplay Monster Reborn isn't a terrible card, could be useful against certain decks. Ace * Spades could be interesting for Ninja decks to establish the Meizen OTK, at least Ninja could pull the requirements off, Tistina in theroy too but come on. Shining Star Dragon might be good in Resonator or Centur -Ion decks and i'm looking forward to this card.

The quick reborn can be used with Obelisk and Slifer, since they cannot activate, they won't go away during the End Phase (but sadly, they will still go away during the subsequent end phases). Additionally, since this is fake monster reborn, it cannot be used to revive Ra using Millennium Revelation. (Unlike the trap card Monster Rebirth)

When I first looked at Utopic Ray Lancer I wrote it off as a battle trick, but I didn't put together that it permanently negates those effects. That's potentially playable. Still not crazy, but potentially playable.

It says it can't activate effects but the lock is a continuous effect so you're locked actually

They technically have many. It's just that most of them are bad, because they are either hard to get to or very specific. + Plasma: negate all face-up opponent's monsters + Dark Angel: negate spell/traps; but have to give it to opponent + Nebula Neos: negate 1 face-up card, only on summon; probably hard to summon + Protection of the Elements: negate a spell/trap; unsearchable + Contrast Hero Chaos: (Quick Effect): NEGATE; hard to summon + Hero's Rule 2: counters any effect that targets 1 card in the GY; unsearchable and specific + Feather Wind: negate a spell/trap; unsearchable and requires Avian + Magistery Alchemist: can negate all face-up opponent's cards; unsearchable and high cost
