it's no wonder Sunny was so nervous and frustrated, his bit on the violin was a little harder and he'd been playing for less. plus, it's clear that the violin was the main instrument and he didn't like being the lead.

To any of you who tried to play along with the original song, you might have noticed some differences: the bar 24 (1:01 approx), right hand should go (D E F A·) the bar 34 (1:24 approx), the rhytmic pattern is different. The second E has another E as a grace note That's all I've found by ear playing along, hope it helps! And pls add if u find more differences or i made a mistake uwu

I’m learning this song...my dad asks me the name of it, and when I tell him he says, “Oh, ‘Final Duet’. That means someone’s going to die.” Then he proceeds to say (FYI, he doesn’t know the story line) “it better not be the girl playing piano.” ... He found out it was after I started choking on air....*sighs* then I was crying internally...

it’s about to be one month of me practicing this, I’m just gonna keep track from here now :) 1:05 1:10 1:12 1:18 1:19 1:20 1:22 1:24 1:26 1:30 1:32 1:34 1:43 1:45 1:47 1:48 1:50 1:52 1:56 1:57 2:07 update: me and my friends went omori cosplaying and I played the parts I knew, it was a great meetup :], also learning how to play sunnys part in the duet on my violin! edit: it’s April 1 lol, I wanna get this done by the end of April, I’m at that part where it’s like, “OH GOD, WHAT DO I DO HERE, WHATS THE FINGERING, UHH” edit: it’s April 6, wtf, how did I learn so much, oh my gosh, I’m at the part with all the arpeggios, gods not on my side for this one EDIT: ITS APRIL 14, 2022, I STARTED PRACTICING THIS PIECE ON JANUARY 23 AND I FINISHED WITH THREE MONTHS OF PRACTICE, OH MY GO

@@pixarcoolio8122 I learned the song and was self-taught, it’s definitely possible! Just make sure to practice often, it took me a few months but it sounds awesome once you finally get the hang of it. Go for it!

Fun fact: there was actually a female version of Omori that you could play as (looks exactly like Omori except she has short pigtails), but it was scrapped due to all the extra cutscenes they would have to animate.

Spoiler guard, but why are you here anyways if you haven't played it? . . . . . It feels so weirdly empty without the violin. It makes me feel like this was what Mari was playing in the week or so leading up to the accident, rehearsing on her own, unknowing of what was to come.

as a pianist for 9 years, take your time! i'm also learning this song but for a concert with my violinist friend. if you need any help, you can talk to me! for now, i'd say learn the parts separately and slowly put them together. and go at your own pace, don't rush yourself :)))

I just finished Omori tonight. I spent the last hour of the game both fighting back tears and crying uncontrollably. I'm making my goal for this summer to learn this song. Omori could not have come at a better point in my life.

9/29 ive been trying to learn and memorize this song for about two months now, and at this point in time i can play up until 1:10 nearly perfectly, currently working on 1:10-1:22. my goal is to learn it completely by the end of the year so ill come back and give updates! edit: so i actually quit halfway cause i lost motivation 💀 and i stopped like months ago- sorry everyone

10/30 memorized the right hand up until 1:41, working on left hand right now, still can only play both hands up to 1:10 but thats alright, ive also memorized the left hand to 1:22 :)

SPOILERS You know... Waltzes were always my favorite. That's why I chose this song for our last recital. But you always hated it, didn't you? How I'd lock myself away on the piano... All that practicing... Playing the same song over and over. When you first picked up your new violin, you were so eager to play with me. But keeping up with something isn't so easy. if you practice with the original as guide, there are some differences the bar 24 (1:01 approx), right hand should go (D E F A·) the bar 34 (1:24 approx), the rhytmic pattern is different. The second E has another E as a grace note That's every difference i have found so far playing along the original song. Have fun learning! uwu

Updating this everyday for a summer project: 5/2/23, 9:30 AM: I can do until 0:35 with some errors.. but that’s okay! I’ll just continue practicing until I’ve got it down. 5/3/23, 9:30 AM: Less errors from yesterday, The following parts are jamming up my brain a bit but that’s okay! 5/4/23 - 5/5/23 9:30 AM: currently focusing on 0:00-0:35! 5/6/23, 9:30 AM: I’ve reached 0:42 so far and my younger brother has started to play the violin! he says his neck hurts a bit.. but that’s okay! 5/7/23 - 5/8/23, 9:30 AM: Went on vacation with my family! Sorry. 5/9/23 9:30 AM: I can play until 0:47. The next parts look terribly painful so i’m going to focus on that for tomorrow. 5/10 - 5/14/23 9:30 AM: helped my brother with his violin! 5/15/23 - 6/15/23 10:37 AM: My current focus is my brother. He’s a bit annoyed because we have to practice for 30 minutes a day and he isn’t used to the violin yet, but I’ll be here for him! 6/16/23 9:30 AM: I can play until 1:14!! the secret is that it simply replays but there’s more notes :0 6/17/23 - 6/23/23 9:30 AM: currently looping 0:00 - 1:14 so I can perfect it. 6/24/23 9:30 AM: wahoo!! successfully played 0:00 - 1:14 without error!! such an achievement!! 6/25/23 - 7/3/23 6:30 PM: my brother got grounded because he almost broke his violin.. i feel bad for him :( I’m going to take a quick hiatus until he is ungrounded

I write many of my details on paper but basically I can play until 1:14 now :) i had to help my brother play the violin because he’s having a hard time and he seems more distant than before :( i will try to remember to edit my comment more often :D

@@kirbyenthusiastnumber2 Cool! But I'm still scared by the fact that the events are almost the same as the game. Just, don't go near stairs. Don't put the piano upstairs. Make sure to play downstairs just for safety. Edit: just realized that the piano in omori is actually downstairs.

My time stamp practice: 1:06 1:22 1:42 2:08 Day 1: struggled a little, but did pretty well considering it was my first time trying this song Day 2: practiced a lot last night and today. Can play until 1:06. More practice to make sure it’s perfect. Day 3: I can fully play until 1:06, currently trying to play until 1:22. It’s becoming a bit difficult, but it’s getting there. Day 4 (kinda forgot to update): I can play up to 1:22, but I need better control and need to quicken my pace. Will continue on practicing. Day 5: can play up to 1:42. It’s really difficult and I don’t think I’m playing it at the correct pace, so I must practice more. Day 6: can play up to 1:42. I’m so happy 😭. Gonna learn the next part now Day 7: finally learned the whole song! Just really really gotta practice the whole song, especially the ending with the arpeggios 😭😭

the beginning is actually the easiest part, one can use both hands to play it. the more relatively difficult areas would probably be the middle sections or ending where some may not be able to play te arpeggios smoothly while remaining in the right tempo

Month 9: the middle part is hard as hell so I’ll skip to the last part. Dah dayum it’s beautiful at the last part. Month 10: today is my birthday, just finished the middle part.
