OMG, this movie came out of left field and I can't even remember why me and my wife went to see it. It's was probably date night, and options were limited, so why not? This movie was great, and being a kid of the 80's, it felt like it was made just for me, a true comedy classic.

"In Better Off Dead" there is a newspaper boy who chases John through the movie looking for his two dollars "I want my two dollars." On the slopes when they first arrive at the bottom of their ski run, the guy on the phone made a bet with someone on the other end of the phone and says "I want my two dollars" I wonder if they are the same person, or its just a homage to that movie.

By far one of my favorite movies. This is an amazing reaction to an amazing movie. A WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I hope the sequel is coming. I was a little disappointed when I heard one of the cast members wouldn't be coming back, so I didn't want to see it at first but it's a really well made sequel and very much on par with this one

When I saw this in 2020~ i got so mad at myself for waiting. It's not a perfect comedy but the mean humor, i can't get enough. Other movies make me laugh as much, with absurdity and whatever, but I just like this entirely. The cast, the music, the setting, the conclusion

About the time this movie came out, I had a coworker raving at me about this movie, he was adamant about how hilarious it was... I thought the same thin you guys did... Stupid name for a movie... A few hours later, after work, I was at Walmart, and had completely forgotten about the conversation, and was walking by the electronics department... Guess what I seen on the DVD endcap in the new release section... "Hot Tub Time Machine"... I recognized the irony, and, although I wasn't planning on buying any movies, I decided to buy it anyway.... I didn't regret it... I also had to agree... Perfect name for the movie..
