Join me, Martyn and Charlotte in the FINAL Vlog as we visit the beautiful Duinrell Amusement Park for the first time during our trip to Germany and the Netherlands
We all loved this park and had an awesome half day in what is technically a holiday resort with rides and a water park, we got on the major rides including 3 brilliant family coaster (plus a double Toboggan Run)
This was probably the busiest park of our trip but it didn’t spoil our day as most of the ride queue lines moved at a decent pace meaning we got on the majority of the rides
This is a definite must visit park for the whole family as there’s so much here and all located in stunning location with so much to do, there’s even a couple of traditional Dutch Pancake Restaurants close by

There used to be a Caripro batflyer above the train station, which never made it to the end. The solution was to put boosters on some parts of the track but I think they couldn’t afford it at the time. The bats that used to be on the front of the carts were saved and used as decorations for the lazy river in the water park. The batflyer’s lift hill would’ve gone between the toboggan run’s lift hills. The footers have never been removed (that’s what the green blocks inbetween the lift hills are). Also, I’m pretty sure the reason the toboggan run is so slow is because a woman sued the park due to her falling off or something, so they modified the carts to go half the speed (25 kilometers per hour instead of the original 50 kilometers per hour it used to go)

Duinrell is a wonderful little park, we used to holiday here regularly. When staying on site you could wander around the theme park at night after closing, which was always exciting, felt like an episode of Scooby Doo lol 😂

I went here on a school trip when I went to the Netherlands, we all love it, so I do have some fond memories. very small but some weird and cool rides. Made me get into being and enthusiast. :)

Been holiday 5 times here love the park and surroundings. You can get full feeling of the park if you stay ride around on go karts after park closes.. Best relaxing holiday definitely going back.

That building was the former Caripro batflyer station. A coaster which never operated at the park cause it did not finish the course when testing. It is one of the few coasters build, but never actually made the end of the track.

A very unique & quirky family park. We stayed in a static here during Easter 2018. Fantastic. Free daily entrance from the site into the Theme Park & the Tiki Waterpark too. Would highly recommend. The frog mascot is called "Rick" btw. Also visited Amsterdam, Efterling & Toverland so a great base too. We will return 😊

So if Europe can keep hold of their Huss top spins, why can't the UK? why have all the UK ones been scrapped? something doesn't add up here.

@@Coaster_Crazy I'm starting to think it's because of the trend of using the row of splashing jets with them. Maybe they already knew it would jeopardize them in the long run but they didn't care at the time. Saying that, I still see Huss topspins around that have the jets. It might just be a maintenance financial thing.

Used to go here as a kid all the time, loved the freedom and lack of rules they provided. Unsure if it's been spoilt since but are you still able to ride your rental go-carts around the theme park? Do they even rent these out anymore? I can remember leaving our Go-carts to go on Freddy the Friendly frog roller coaster. It looks like a few rides such as the Ferris Wheel and that ride beside the Log floom and rollercoaster has vanished.

Duinrell adjusted both Rodelbanen because too many people flew off the track. So they modified the carriages to slow down speed.

@@mr-nobody-on-youtube to be honest you could class anything that works off gravity as a coaster, some people even class certain Ghost Trains as coasters, for instance Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Ghost Train has a lift hill and a drop I just don’t class Toboggan’s as I don’t feel like they are coasters especially when sat on a tea try going down a metal trench
