I had a cat caught in my DP the other day ! Im open to any advice that maybe I did something wrong in setting it ?

Sounds like a happenstance to me. Possibly triggered it with its nail getting under the trigger. I heard of a Fox getting caught once before as well but an extreme occurrence at best. You wouldn’t have done anything wrong but I think a sweet bait keeps you away from chances of cats working the set moving toward to protect against that oddity.
