This song is early 90’s and futuristic all at once. It’s almost like the singer is saying I won’t look back because she is fighting with her past which is the old school feel of the song. And she wants to move into the future, which explains the modern/futuristic feel of the music. The two styles are up against one another in the song. But they dance perfectly with one another instead.
