Nobody knew just how may great clashes between Coach K and Coach Roy Williams were in the future. They are now #1 and #2 in all time Tournament wins respectively.

Crazy Kansas didn’t make another appearance in the finals. Again in the 90s! Only 1 other Final Four in 93

This is kind of a forgotten national title game because people always think the famous Duke/UNLV game that year was the final instead of the semifinal game. Similar to how the Miracle on Ice game in 1980 was also the semifinal and not the final of that Olympic hockey tournament.

Nice too watch without a clock and game is an uptempo one . Duke i believe has the record for 2nd place finishes in ncaa tourney. 7 along with 5 titles,
