Thank you for making this. I played New World back at launch and haven't played since. I got back into it about a week ago and after looking things up, every single guide is at 8months to a year old.

Just an add to the "ECR" in recruitment chat. My server also calls it world tour (WT) and sometimes it just calls out the destinations ie... xwall, x helio, x myrk, for example. If you don't know what these are have no fear, "xup" and after joining group, 360° your compass and open your map. This will tell you where your team is. (As well as everyone else). Follow along and you will find kephri and never wonder again wtf is x wall. Good luck on drops!

What skill would you recommend levelling up first am new only just about to hit level 20 so I can still reset me skills so what skills and weapon class would you recommend I have been using the musket levelling dex up but not really doing much damage ano am still low level but the damage is pretty low with this musket still

This game is so much better than when it was released. Getting to 60 from 27 only took about 15 hours of gameplay. Felt nice, but my old character had 2 lvl20 weapon skill and a few skills in the 100s and is only lvl40. Felt like a grind, but I felt more accomplished on that character.

They need more incentives for world pvp like events and , resources , bounties, like faction mules going from one base to one base transporting random gold or resources and it’s marked on the map.

does anyone have a tier list for which weapon is best / strongest? Would hate leveling up a weapon that sucks just to start it all over again.

The BEST solution for both newbs and vets (and to some extent even for the devs themselves) is to just STOP PLAYING the game completely and WAIT UNTIL THE EXPANSION GOES LIVE. The devs will have a nice quiet break to clear up their tormented minds and think twice about the entire process of re-shaping their product while their customers will save themselves from the current fog which surrounds the very future of the game. Win-win.

Among the reasons to do ECR is for faction tokens. Some days you can get three faction quests in Myrkwood which you can complete in one run. The Ultimate trophies are expensive and this will help get you there.

Looking into possibly getting into New World again as the expansion is about to drop. But why aren't people 1v1ing in the world as you stated in the video?

thinking about to back. Got over 200hrs and take a break in may. I played mainly pvp BOW+SPEAR, which was so fun to play build. Very satisfied with headshots, landing full burst combo etc. The game at the begining is WOW, graphics, animations and feeling are great. I'm also a dungeon player, however, completing gear for each "type" of dunegeon just to hit another tier is meh imo. I think I will wait and check new content.

Do you think it is a good idea to invest in good tools? I'm just wondering if I should spend 55k on a BIS tool.

I remember it took me forever to farm to skill up my crafting to max. If I start a new character for the new expansion am I still going to need to the same amount of grinding.

Reinstalled it, did the egg event and it bugged out, some things never change. Only way is if they did a fresh start server everyone level 1.

Is it worth it buying gathering tools 600? Or it will be leveled up with the expansion? (Pick, hatchet, sickle...)

Hello i'm level 40 and i don't see any of my main quest as i level up , i do see more side quest and epic armor quest , can i fix this bug somebody pls help ?

the main quest is way higher lvl than i am and i am kinda stuck not knowing what to do

Gear Score leaves the game, got it... what happens to the items which have or had 590 and now upgraded to 625? Will they disapear simply and you stay there barely naked? If this is a point i directly hit the uninstall button

I didn't play much when it first came out, but jesus i was mad yesterday. All my weapons had a level update, and I couldn't use them anymore lol.

You are going to want your teir v azoth staff asap so a player with 4 level 60 characters, I always just do the main quests and side quests and harvest trees and ores, and plants and always skin animals if I kill them. When youre in town refine them as far as you can and sell the highest tier mats, and use the "strange" "abnormal" "unusual" at crafting stations to raise your profression and character level. They add up to a lot of xp.

Fresh start server for expansion would be nice

From a different view for new players: Having around 3100 hours in New World from beta to now. I myself stopped playing New World around 5 months ago. The reason was the end game content is dry still at current. They apply updates to levelling and zones (current update is again another old zone revamp mashed into an "expansion"). But to get to it, the game itself is good, level experience and content is great early to mid game. But they still have a lot of work to do late game if your a hardcore MMO player, casual players will love it though. The company system needs a big overhaul to make it more imbedded into the game as its currently a shell that kind of caps you from enjoying content such as wars due to war member limits and depending on company, leader views. Then there is wars....its a typical 3 point hold and capture with a second stage. The game needs a lot more work in this space to improve the overall pvp content, they need inspiration and implementation like Guild Wars 2 for example, more diversity in forts and mechanics. Overall the game is great and i would recommend anyone to play it and give it a try, for hardcore pvp or end game players you may get bored after some time but overall its worth playing to see how you feel. Myself, i am going to wait until they flesh out more "new" content then just refurbishing old none finished content. =] There is more i could go into but this is to give you a view from a long players standing!

i last played in 2022 , did they made all weapons viable in raids or trials. Back then you got kicked if you used fire staff ,bow or musket etc, that's why i haven't touched it anymore.

They have already said gypsum and umbral shards are going away. They talked about it in the dev update where they covered the expansion

Does the gear scaling in pvp even work? I went in with 550 gear, got 1 shot by a hammer heavy attack. In outpost rush I was doing like 5-10% of peoples hp with bow headshots, meanwhile they do like 40-60% of my hp per shot. It felt like expertise was just negating the upscaling entirely. I understand there is a difference between bad 600 gear and bis 625 gear+gems but still, the stat imbalance felt way too insane for that gap.

Can returning players that already did the main story go back and do the revamped MSQ?

Have you heard anything about their plans for all the players coming back and are all on the same few servers that got merged while they were taking a break? You might have 3k people come back to a server that’s already at a decent population causing long queue times again.

damn they should just merge the servers with 200 to 190 - people on another region. like in AP southeast, i wouldnt want to spend another dime in this game just to transfer server other than this expansion lol

without the cross-server content (dgs and raids, for example) i don't recommend new players joining this game yet. they will basically suffer to go through initial contents due to lack of players in their servers...

2:12 terrible clip you chosed showing you buying/suggesting "resilient" perk gear, also not 590gs+ filtered and these tips are aimed at people leveling up and/or returning players, which they should definely NOT buy pvp -soon to be obsolete- gear as their first upgrade, but rather an all around pve gear just to play for the time being and to be ready to go to the new zone once the expansion drops. My suggestion would be to buy cheap/try to farm for 590 named items or cheap 600 from trading post, with useful perks for open world questing, farming, world tours, acid pools, events, etc all pve content in general, that is either "refreshing" , "luck" and "weapons perks for ur 2 main weapons" that would be the ideal 3 perks for an all around, stand alone, 1 and only gear set for a new/returning player, and if you have enough time to farm some umbral shards after getting expertice to 600, this gear should be ur first pieces of gear to upgrade to 625 and you'll be ready for the expansion.

lvl 65 is new level

This looks like it might be a great guide for returning players, but it is not a good guide for new players. You're talking about things and I have no clue what you're even mentioning. I don't know what a gear score is, or what conqueror points are.

I play most AAA mmos and I get to max level in all of them then quit shortly after when the end game pans out to be non-existent, p2w, etc. FfXIV and WoW are the only games that have an endgame that keeps me invested. I really wish AGS would bite the bullet and make full blown, tiered raids with a more structured loot system. Legendaries and artifacts are great but with a dearth of end game content it seems like older items could/should have an upgrade path to 700 until they're ready to dedicate to a real seasonal end game and not what they got right now... They're trying to straddle the line between destiny 2's exotic system but with a vertical mmos gear prog. Combat feels great in NW and the environments and art design are second to none, but there isn't an MMO out that scratches that serious raid itch with this type of combat.

With the new expansion, a new server will come. So this are all useless. New players, and even the majority of adventurers who have already made gear that has reached 60 LVL and then return to the game, will start on the new server. It's already easy to gain LVL in this game. What's important is what we do after 60LVL. That's why the new server will be overflowing with players. Therefore, everyone will open a new character. Nothing done now matters. There is no need to upgrade gear or buy gear from the trade house.

This game should be at 20$ max not 40$ the player based is extremely low for an mmo at 16/17k just don’t feel comfortable spending 40$ on a pretty dead game.

having bis crafted gear bop is the bullshitest crap I've seen and I hope it's not true. I have no crafting leveled up because my friends did that as a group.

game really needs a shake up, yeah they have the foundation of a good mmo but its very bland, they have this diablo4 feeling loot that just rains from the sky, perks on items are lacking and uninspiring, time trial dungeons make you feel like dungeons are a chore, anything else I'm missing?

"Most people in the open world simply don't PvP in 1v1 situations anymore". I do when I want to progress my PvP track! Harvesters flagged are easy salt! That, and the luck bonus is only 3%. If you're to the point where you have major gathering trophies, harvesting clothes, and the ability to consume luck food (and play luck songs), the bonus *may* not be worth it.

just a shame you have to buy the game again to play, looks like ill be uninstalling.

I wish solo PvP was dead in the open world. Flagging up and harvesting just paints a target on your back, not worth the waste of time.

Still waiting for a day when people start calling things what they are.. Gold in game is Ore and ingots. Money is Coin, not gold..
