PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING, THIS VIDEO CONTAINS FLASHING LIGHTS
It's finally here! Probably my longest running project to date. I poured my heart into this. It was a learning experience for me. I have a more story-oriented project coming shortly after this. Stay tuned!

This just popped into my recommended, and honestly I was not expecting to be this moved by this. Dullscythe has to be one of my favorite songs porter has ever put out, and the visuals added here are honestly amazing. The visuals just feel so human, just someone out in nature, and all the visual effects match with the music so nicely, I absolutely love the little visual glitches (the blur, black shapes). Overall watching this just made me escape from everything for a little bit. Instead of stressing about the world I was taken away to thinking about having a simple life, accepting all the mistakes I make, all the hardships that come my way, and turning my life into something beautiful.

Your support means a lot! 19/02/2022, An edit for the recent attention this has been getting: first of all thank you for all your kind words! I appreciate all of your feedback and compliments, seeing people engage with my little corner of the internet brings me the greatest feelings!! Second, there is more on the way. Slated for this year I have at least one music video, two visualiser projects, and a very very ambitious short film that will be quite different to the stuff I’ve posted so far. There’s more in the works but school and work make it hard to my passions with my commitments. Just know that this year is gonna be great once things get kicked off! I have an roughly animated short film laying around that is fully produced but lacks voice acting. If you’re a VA who would like to generously lend their voice to a small project for free, I would appreciate you getting in contact! A final note, some music label called live nation has somehow managed to attach some random artist’s song to this video and I am unsure why. If you see that just know I am in no way associated with livenation! See you all soon, your support gives me life !

This is BS. 200 subs with a video like THIS?!! This is criminal. Ive been on youtube for over a decade and a half. And in my all years watching, I cannot think of a single more amazingly produced video. The vision was deeply in sync with the emotions of the music, and the visuals took my breath away. THIS is art, and a perfect example of it. I'm blown away and i feel guilty, like i should have paid to see this. Who needs college when you have this on your resume? Just fkn amazing man. Thank you so much for this. I will scream to the ends of the earth for people to see this.

I would love to see if you do! My editing style is kind of inspired by how artists produce music, which is why I love making music videos and visualisers so much! It feels right syncing music to visuals.

I guess you could call it an extended version! I wanted to give the song a proper intro with some buildup so I chopped and played around with some samples from later in the song :)

It was a combination of the noise and trails/echo effect in FCPX! I think I also played around with the layer blending to get some interesting overlay effects too! I remember I was trying to replicate the effects of datamoshing. The footage here was also shot on tape which gave it some more natural noise so it may be harder to replicate with digital formats! Hope this was helpful!
