I was there and I will never forget it. We lived in an apartment on E 2nd St and actually jumped out the upper floor window in order the shovel snow away from the front door.

Wow what a storm. My dad described it to me years ago. He and mom had gone to the restaurant on the hill by the domed church. It was their 48th wedding ann. They got there around 6:00. By the time they were going to leave it was snowing allot. When they got to the west end of Duluth dad knew it was no use trying to go up the Duluth hill. They wouldn't make it. They lived in Esko. They stopped at a motel to stay the night. Dad parked the car in the place in the parking lot where the wind was blowing it clear. Only draw back was all the programs on the TV that night were spook stories because it was Halloween. The next morning they drove home and had to park their car way at the end of the service lane along hwy 61. They had to crawl over the huge snow bank to get to the service lane and trudge in almost though high drifts to get home. They were both 71 years old at the time. Kudos for dad he always knew what to do to keep safe. Miss them both. Thanks for the memories.💜🥰💜

This was the first morning of my 15th year of life. That Halloween night, my grandparents barn collapsed, instantly killing or fatally maiming 45 head cattle. We spent all night digging out the corpses of the cows to butcher and hung them from the broken rafters. While traumatic, giving everyone steaks for Xmas slightly made up for it.

Drove the kids a mile down our road so they could trick or treat. No snow. By the time I got back to our place - I had a hard time getting into the driveway - so much snow had fallen.

I was a senior in HS at Harding Senior High when the blizzard hit. I was coming home from work at the old Ramsey hospital and it look like a nice snowy day. Then it hit hard. A few days later we wet to Cub to get some food, and people were fighting for the food! Our car got stuck. It was awful

lived through it with three teenagers in the house, they got to help shovel us out! lol The transformers on our block kept arcing all night so we stayed up in case they caught on fire. School bus in the ditch, and the tow truck couldn't get it out, kept slipping. Walked four blocks to get supplies at the grocery store, took a long time, thigh high snow to plow through. It was kinda fun living through it.

I was 7 years old and on the Iron Range. I was a ninja turtle that year and still remember it like it was yesterday. Miss them days

I was 13, and living down in Brooklyn Park at that time and we got very close to what Duluth received. It was a huge mess and took forever to shove out our driveway, lol.

it is odd this year as well, we had band after band of severe storms in Duluth, most missed, going immediately south or north, but the one that hit us was a doozey! we lost power out here for about 4 days, and it was almost a week before we got power back at my work.

It was a weird time but this looks calming and also like fun!!!

Was living in south mpls when the blizzard hit.Was working for a realty company so I spent 3 days shoveling and snowblowing......Worst blizzard I've ever seen.At one point only 4 wd vehicles could move.There was ambulances and cops following snowplows.This was in downtown and south mpls...
