How are the horses doing? How do they react when the temperature is colder? I’m guessing they like it cool vs too hot? My favorite horses are Clydesdale and Friesian.

All 75 horses including 2 minis and 2 donkeys are doing excellent. They love the cold weather and are even more friskier. When the weather outside is hot, they basically stay in their sheds. We bring some of the horses in (there's 5 herds with a new herd being added in) to eat, while the others like to eat outside. Wishbone (that's the name of the barn) has two draft horses, both Belgians. No Clydesdales and no Friesians yet. We never know what breed of horse will be coming in. I had a favorite horse by the name of Paavo. He's a Quarter Horse. Color is a Palomino. His adopter now owner moved Paavo to Salano Springs in Wisconsin. I will be visiting on Labor Day and spending several hours with Paavo. Paavo has another horse for company. She's a Friesian (I've only seen a Friesian in pictures and on KZfaq) and her name is Belle. I smiled when you asked about the horses. Did you ever own or ride horses? I owned 4 horses. A Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross, color Palomino. After I'm a Justice Boy (Justice) passed on, my late husband bought me a Thoroughbred mare heavily pregnant. The mare's name was Best Buc. She raced at Gulfstream in Florida. Bess as l called her was a sprinter. Her racing record was quite good. After the filly (Angel O'Steele) was born, Bess was bred again. Nine months later a colt was born. They were all spoiled. I love horses! I'm happy you like horses. Not too many men do.

@LoriLeaPouttu I’m very big on keeping the landscaping looking really good at my place. I use morganite to keep my grass really healthy and I have lots of perennials that I take care of too.

Can you believe we got another sunset and cool ship? It’s like every time now.

I’m not too sure what the background is regarding that yellow color. It definitely makes it stand out. Super good brand recognition. It’s also super visible on the water so that must be a good thing. If you’re out on a boat, and all of those yellow ships are so fun to watch go by.

@@vibewithmike it really was I need to go up to Duluth more often only went once in the last 3 years sadly.

@minnesotarailfan11 I hope you get up to Duluth this coming year. I want you to see the PRT in person, the biggest ship.

@@vibewithmike yeah I would definitely do that. Next summer I think I’ll try to get up there at least two or three times. I’m really interested in the Railroad as well and I want to see ore trains and them load ships at the docks. But a lot of the area isn’t available to the public.
