He's taking tension out of the muscle on the lower phase of the exercise actually. If you want constant tension bring the weight back up before coming the full way down.

Oh God, thank you sooo much, I had been doing these with straight back and straight arms and always struggled until I did it your way I was finally able to finish my sets without having to lower the weights! I’m honestly very happy I came across your videos, they are short, not too much time explaining details and getting things done in the correct form immediately 👍

Never medial. It’s middle or side deltoids. Medial is toward the midline of the body. But other than that good tutorial 👌

Do that but it's better to not raise directly to the side, it's better to raise at a 30° angle so you raise in the scapular plane, to increase medical deltoid target. I'm a certified fitness coach

Make sure you rotate you shoulder in a posituon where youre thumbs will be pointing up.
