Hey Ladies! Awesome Haul and great video, thank you!! So I have a story. I went diving at a Michael’s last night. That dumpster is the kind where you can slide the doors open on each side. So on one side I found a flocked Christmas tree in the box, score! I went to the other side and all I found was trash. I dug a little further until I found something that at first looked like toy money. Upon closer inspection I realized it wasn’t. This was about 6:30-7pm and the store was still open so I went around to the front and went inside and found the first employee I could find and asked for the store manager. I told her it was kind of urgent. She said I’m acting store manager. I risked all by telling her I dumpster dive in your dumpster. She just looked at me normally and said OK. That shocked me in itself. But then I pulled out of my coat pocket what I found and said I found this. It was a bagged deposit for $1441! As soon as she saw it she yelled “you found it!” and hugged me as hard as she could! Mind you this deposit was dated January 6 and yesterday was January 14. She said that the employee who lost it was slated to get fired today which would’ve been Saturday the 15th. I have no idea why the deposit was still in that dumpster eight days after it had been lost. I know there are other Dumpster Divers who go through that area and I don’t know if they would’ve been as honest as I am. But I am a Christian and I lost my mom a little over a year ago and she brought me up right. And I didn’t for once think about keeping that money! I’m just thankful I found that money and was able to do the right thing and that woman will not lose her job now. Just goes to show you never know what you’re going to find in a dumpster! Shannon my daughter & I went out diving Sunday night & Family Dollar dumpster poured bleach on the stuff but we didn’t know it was that bad until we got to riding down the road and the scent of the bleach was taking our breath & my jacket got it on it . So we had to take the stuff out of the car and get rid of it at a gas station trash can . Be careful girl’s, keep up the good work and keep on diving. God Bless y’all 🙏🏻❤️🤗

I love y'all! Even in the middle of a dumpster, you're having fun. So so glad you got a good haul this time. There is no excuse for these stores to destroy perfectly good items to purposely make them unusable. Just because they consider these items trash, doesn't mean they wouldn't be used and greatly appreciated by others.

I just found your channel yesterday and I have watching it almost non stop. I really like that you donate stuff you find. You two are soo much fun, I feel like I am right there with you guys.. I am laughing right along with you. I saw one where you found magazines at JoAnns, You said to comment If you are interested in them. If you ever find quilting ones, I would like some thank You so much. If I were younger I sure would like to try diving. Am 73years young and don't move very fast any more. I use the looking for boxes too. Now, I will be checking for fruits, vegetables and bread, for the chickens, ducks and geese we farm sit. We just gave them a few squash and vegetables we had at home. So glad you got something good to donate.

Shannon you inspired me to start dumpster diving!! I've been doing it for a week and oh my Lord the amount of things I have found. I have already brought 2 large car loads to my local food pantry but I think I'm going to have to find other places to donate to. I kind of like the fading in & out of the color on those blankets. I'd be able to tell it from another like it.

Do look into how to preserve and use some of the produce you find. It is ok for you two to take some goodies fir you and your families. Onions can be peeled, diced or sliced, put in baggies, and frozen. Peppers can be diced, bagged, and frozen. Tomatoes can be diced, bagged or put in sour cream containers, and frozen. Most fruit can be frozen; look at how to make sorbet if you own a blender.

Couldn't they at least leave it for curbside specials. So wasteful. Where is their conscience? So many people are in need. 😒. Thank you for sharing. God bless you. May the angels protect you. Shannon. I called around my town and found a fod pantry with a bunch of freezers and these ladies take fresh vegetables cut away bruises and spots just like farmers do on a farm. They do ask we look up for recalls. But they can bag and heat seal. They have dejydrators and make fruit dried snack a d roll up. Smoothie pops a d Jared goods jellies. I mean they are the bomb. They give it out to neighborhoods in places without a near by supermarket. So cool. I wish there were more places like that.

WHY do these stores not donate? People are starving in this country. Bless you for what you do.

I think the DG are doing spring cleaning. I have been finding bags every week of good food. Waiting for my time to find other helpful things lol

You just need the boxes that have products in as they are perfect for media mail etc. Like cereal and candy plus milk cartons like the vegan milk to grow beans in for a school project etc. And paper for void fill etc.

Great haul. I wish I could find some of the stuff. I went to Dollar Tree Wed. and I put most in the car. Went back to get more out of the dumpster, but an employee coming in to work, she told me not to dumpster dive. Made me put it back. I did find some bags of candy, and baby food. I want to send it to you. I already sent you some a few months ago. I bought them, but I found tons of baby food this time. I gave some of the baby food to the lady down the street and said it was still good, but expired. I know that exp dates are only to reorder and rotate the stock. If it smell and is moldy then don't eat it. Exp. dates started back in the 60's or 70's. When I go to the food bank they give expired foods out. You can freeze bread, cakes and even milk.
