How is Ms. Beth doing? I watch Salty Stella and I think she lives in Pa. Most of what she finds she puts on her curb for free andshe makes period packs. She found some old old newspapers that had like the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

I’m like you and am blown away of the non perishable things the stores throw away. A great day for a big scoring dive and lots of goodie bags! The donations to the shelters was amazing too. AS FOR THE BATTERIES, THERE COULD HAVE BEEN SOME THAT WERE CORROSIVE IN THE CASE SHIPPED SO THEY HAD TO THROW OUT THE REST OR THAT PACKAGE WAS OPENED. THAT COULD BE THE REASONS FOR FINDING BATTERIES IN THE TRASH. LIKE YOU SAID "WHO KNOWS?" . GOD BLESSED YOU SHANNON FOR A AWESOME DIVE.

I can't even comprehend all the perfectly good items that these stores just toss in the trash. I mean instead of tossing it why not just at least offer it to a food bank or church or something. I Woke early 5am and saw your video had popped up YAY. Super place now for you to donate craft products to aswell. I know you donate the puzzle books and magazines to the nuns but if you ever get a ton of them please send some to the women's refuge as they need stuff to get through the days as most of those women are in hiding. Shannon, I just want you to know how much I love your giddiness, and spirit about everything you do. You work so hard for your community and for your family. Looking out for the animals. Making sure others are taken care of. You are a true angel of God. I adore you. You remind me of an old friend I had back in the 80s in Michigan where I was born and raised. She had dark hair like yours, was always having to express her silly sayings with a very witty way, and always had a giggle laugh like you do. I just want you to know how much I adore all that you do for your community and all those in need including the animals. I used to work at a DG. So when there are perfectly good items, it means one or two things. One it was damaged in transportation or brought back by a customer. Therefore cannot be put back on the shelf. Or it was a recall or penny item.😅

So glad to know you can save all them goodies and snacks from the dumpster. Thank you for doing this. I don't work in retail but I believe that most of these are dumped due to OVERSTOCk or they need shelve room for new items that come it to replace them. I don't see why not MARK them down to resale or donate. Maybe it's the LIABILITY of reselling them, that's my guess. Again thank you so much for doing that. AWESOME dive :).
