creating piles of plastic from breaking down ewaste and stripping wire for what peanuts in scrappables is the norm for all those I know who have made scrap a job. They have to collect for a monthe to make it worth it thesed days due to businesses locking bins up or scrapping materials thenselves cause the owner say videos on KZfaq like this one "Fuck that we can scrap all that left over copper cable ourselves and put that money back into the business to create a buffer from going into the red financially" . This is a trend that is catching on though alongside dumpster security / locking for the sole purpose of keeping scrappers out. Now plastics do tend to always find it's way to a landfill despite if you recycle or not. maybe not you local landfill it may wind up in a 3rd world countrys landfill full of toxins and ewaste. Once you get rid of it you have no idea where it goes, all you have is the recevers word of mouth and they themselves may not know but the reality is we all know where it ends up, in some hole in a landfill or incinerator producing acrid toxic smoke in a poverty stricken part of a city or town. There is a small amount that gets repurposed recycled but only certain types at times that demand it.

This planet needs many millions of thrifty people like you. Excellent environmental care, and even profitable! There’s so good stuff much talked about saving the planet, but it’s despairing to see householders and businesses alike discarding valuable material resources. Why isn’t the message getting through? Everyone needs to seperate trash into different material piles, Some folks do, many don’t. Extracting metals already affected the environment to process them the first time. Keep it up Mike and every like minded recycler person.

Hey, those floodlights you looked at in the 2nd dumpster are each worth ~$40; plus they were a relatively recent model, so they probably still work... electric panel boxes are each worth between $80 & $190 depending on the boxes amp/space/circuit setup... electrical breakers are worth anywhere from $5 to $160 each...also, if those detectors work, smoke detectors are each worth ~$10 for the battery-powered only models, ~$20 for battery backup models, and ~$40 for smoke/carbon models...the Sprint boxes boost data signals to increase up/download speed, accelerate data, and increase connectivity - they're each worth ~$50. You pass up a lot of valuable stuff and undercut yourself by scrapping items with greater resale values! And, if you don't want to resale that stuff, donate that type of things to nonprofit habit groups, who can either use it or resale it themselves...plus, you'd still get a tax deduction from the donation!

These are in building Network extenders it allows you to get network inside of building that usually you cannot get Sprint network.yes they still are going to work temporarily but Sprint is going to merge into T-Mobile and go to GSM these devices are made for CDMA. So once that happens these boxes will be no good.

I've had several of the magic boxes. Sprint uses a high frequency and it is illegal to boost because the frequency is very close to the emergency band if you boost and interfere with the emergency band you'll get a knock on your door and a free ride to jail and a huge fine. The magic box is a booster but also a repeater it will cover a neighborhood. I bet you there is some gold in it.

The magic box gold are a wifi booster. 50 to 75 bucks each used. You really need to find out the retail used value of stuff before scrapping it. Whats scrap steel worth 5 bucks a ton. Like somone else said the meter panel can cost 100 to 250 used. If you sold the power meter box for 50 bucks thats a 1000% more then its value in scrap steel. @@BoxImpala313 you know that's a strange story with that copper there were so much of it and when I found out by weighing one of the sheets and going back and counting all the sheets I realized I got ripped off by a large number I used to think I knew the exact number but I believe it was thousands of dollars that I got robbed by again I did get somewhere around $700 I believe and the guy did ask me are you happy with that and I thought I was and said I was happy with it but when I got home and realized how much copper was going for at the time which was over $3 a pound I realized he had gotten me and again being the first time I ever scrapped I think anything I was very green and I even hear about people still getting robbed who are seasoned professionals

I am pretty sure those blades were from a warehouse or something similar. They are louvers that belong to the ventilation in the warehouse. There was probably an aluminum frame that they fit in that could be adjusted for airflow in the warehouse. Worked in a big warehouse back in the day, and we had several of those in the second floor of the warehouse. No matter how good your AC was, you need those vents to keep the air moving.

So I became homeless the first week of april in 2020. The first 3 or 4 weeks into covid when things shut down. Talk about timing right. Anyway, I knew nothing about diving. In my second night out with this guy, I couldn't believe what h had found and graciously have half of to me. I was more concerned with looking for change I. Drive-thrus and parking lots tbh but he puts an envelope with 17 $20 starbucks gift cards in it. All of them active and never used. Like someone put them there. The best buy dumpster had a brand new, still taped shut and everything, sound bar in it. That was $120 online new I believe. But then, at the very end almost and again like it was left specifically for him, we find a manila envelope with two hundred bills in it. Nothing else and nothing on the dumpster to explain why. It was an office buildings dumpster so the envelope wasn't unusual but still. I have thought about that night quite a lot and I've come to the conclusion that somebody had to have been watching him for a few weeks or something because something like that just, idk, slim chance of a coincidence. The man was also very clean and respectful. So was I. In everything I did out there. As much as I could be anyway. There are those who choose the life and stay out there but then you have quite a lot of people forced into it like I was. Once out there, these activities become your only means of survival. Especially during the cold season when moods change and windows roll up. Harvest a crop and rotate fields to make the next crop healthy and respect what the earth gave you, hunt a deer and you skin it with respect and thankfulness for it's sacrifice, and jump in a dumpster to find value in things others would throw away and always make it look better then before you got there out of respect. not just for yourself but for your other fellow homeless as well. And it's common sense just to not crap what you eat. Take care all
