@ vidvulture you where in a dumpster with the post hole digger tha had a black milk plastic milk crate. They sell in any community for $5 to $8 bucks each depending on age, condition and advertising. The advertising is what ever company name written on the side.

@@sharonironman4547 Hi, I only collect cable, brass and copper. I carry a pair of cable cutters with me at all times, on the bike I use rear panniers to store stuff. When I go to the scrap yard I use a trailer, not essential but makes it easier. I try to keep the weight low when using the panniers do I don't carry any sealed cable plugs unless they have brass pins, sometimes I have to return to a spot with extra tools. Make sure your pannier rack is strong enough, I use an expedition rated model. It is possible to scrap on an ebike but you are limited to what you can carry. Also keep an eye on Freecycle, Gumtree and Facebook to get stuff people giving away free.
