Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Hey Mike! I.T. Guy here- That little grey wand thing in the Velcro pouch marked ‘tempo’ is the speaker half of a wire toner tool. It’s missing the other half.. you’d plug the other half into a network line or phone line and it sends an audio signal through that wire so you can find the other end with that wand tool you have- it amplifies the audio signal so you can hear it when you point the pointer end at the wire so it helps you trace that one wire in a bundle. Someone probably left the other end in a phone or network closet on a job. Not that I would know anything about that.. Ha! Keep it up man, awesome as always and happy new year!

I hope we get a National bottle deposit! That breaks my heart. I dumpster dive for cans here at my condo, and give them to folks who cash them in for money. It helps out the environment AND people who are struggling due to pandemic. You rock, Mike! Love the vids! ☮️

Here in Michigan we have a 10 cent can and bottle deposit. You never see any cans or bottles laying around or in dumpsters. Every state should do this. Our roads may be awful but there’s no trash along the roads. Also what’s up with all this yard waste going in dumpsters? Somebody start a compost business please.

I am in my 70's qnd when I was A CHILD WE USED TO COLLECT BOTTLES AND TAKE THEM TO THE STORES AND GET MONEY FOR THEM. .

@@elmaritter5989 , I lived in Michigan between 1994 - 2002 (approximately) and made a lot of money from can and bottle recycling! It was much needed, because the state economy was so bad.

@@annwhittet6430 , I spent my early childhood in Jacinto City, Tx (5 - 8). Back then ( ‘70s) my friends and I collected glass bottles to buy candy. Back then our parents didn’t have to worry about us being abducted or any crazy stuff like that. I remember riding my bike or playing in the gullies or woods, pretty much all day with zero supervision…..sad that kids these days can’t experience the safety we had (or felt) back then….

the inductive amplifier finds breaks in A/C wire, it tests for busted wire. Is it weird that I walk around saying scrappily scrap all the time?, I'm gonna write that song. Ha, love this channel. happy new year brother.

Those Bang Energy Drinks were a good find..at $2 a pop at HEB...and 300 mg of Caffeine...they will you going all day long! Have a happy new year..and stay out of the rain...it's Wednesday night and it's been raining here in Austin since noon. It was 70° at 11am and by noon...raining and in the 40's! Stay save and you and the wife have a great NEW YEAR!

For the copper jacketed RF conduit, if I take the plastic sleeve off (which is very easy to strip by slicing it with a razor blade) I get #1 wire price at my yard. Just turned in quite a few pounds of it and have another 15-20 to now strip.

Lunch time! Time to watch Mike do his thing. 1:49 that's a toner probe used for wire toning. I use it for locating cables that run from a bedroom back to a panel or other location, great tool. Missing the toner though.

Inductive Amplifier Nice tool, worth a few bucks!- an is a type of test instrument that does not require DC electrical contact to detect an AC wire under voltage. The conventional use of the is the location of breaks in hidden wires, even buried in concrete. A useful tool!

You should get those wooden roller things a lot of people are making tables for them and putting them on the back patio all you got to do is stain them and clear coat on them and put them on your back table on your back porch they're really nice a lot of people were buying them

The candles you can melt down. Just buy some fragrance oil from a candle place and some wicks and make candles for gifts and sale at your garage sales.
