In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. I work at a trophy shop, you could've grabbed those trophies for the metal rods holding them together! Some of them might've had brass or aluminum plates as well.

Those trophies are worth picking up and donating. The metal names peel off and new ones can be applied .Great for kids sports leagues. 🇬🇧🏴

Yep, I just commented something similar. The metal rods holding them together might be worthwhile, and the brass or aluminum plates.

I'm a 67 year old women amazon and ebay seller.. been doing it since 1999... if i was a healthy 20 year old with a truck I'd do what you do !! I love watching you.. a nice switch from tiktok and Facebook.. 30 years ago i had friends that would have huge bon fires with chairs all around and drink beer and strip wire all day !! Hey Mike--I think the "dusty" dumpster was a powder coating set up. The long items are heating elements and the dust is the material to coat metal. The "oven" is heated with the powder electrostatically attached to the metal.

The “GMC” saw is made by an Australian company. No longer sold in the US, the tools were sold at big box stores in the 2010s. Could never get any parts for repairs.

I used to be a trashman. If I could have had someone follow me all day with a truck and a trailer, I would have made more money reselling and scraping "trash" in a day then I made all week with my hourly pay. Just taking what I could (copper, brass, wire and large pieces of steel) I made 150$ a week. Landfills are a literal gold mine of precious metals.
