I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. As another person said, Landlords usually just trash everything left behind after evictions. I work construction and have done bids for landlords sometimes before they clean out the property's. I have been in about a dozen property's post-eviction pre-cleanout and every one of them had at least $1000 worth of stuff left behind that would go fairly easily at garage sales, especially if priced super low. Its honestly weird seeing what people leave behind despite obviously having money issues, otherwise they probably wouldn't have been evicted. The strangest was one that the renter literally took nothing but a bag of clothes during a police supervised eviction and left literally everything else behind according to the landlord. Asked them about 6 months later and they had decided to store all the stuff that wasn't actual trash at another one of their property's thinking the tenant would dispute/ask for it back but nope, tenant never reached out.

Love watching you pick up scrap. I learned at a young age how valuable metals are. My foster father John Curtis was called the Junkman on the CB. Worked for the nieghbor scrapping.

@@Lilyandmoomin thats the person's choice to have a large family and put themselves in that predicament. Where in the new testament does it say to have large families or to be married ? Regardless people make choices and if they want to dumpster dive for junk by all means go ahead. They aren't worth that much money by selling it on ebay if that's the intent after taxes, shipping and so forth

Wish you would slow down and check every inch when finding treasure dumpsters like that! I feel like you leave stuff behind because you're on adrenaline rush! Guarentee there was an X-Box in there if there were cords for one.

I think the reason I watch at least 10 episodes every day is so that I NEVER FORGET to recycle or reuse or donate to others BEFORE just simply dumping something in a dumpster. I forwarded this particular episode out to FB in hopes that people will stop being SO WASTEFUL... it is so disheartening how people just don't care - out of sight... out of mind. Mike you should load the lottery app to check tickets that you find in dumpsters. It just takes seconds to check them. People have found winning tickets in the trash. I have too. Enjoy your diving. Oh, use a mask, so as to not breath all the particles. Huah? We don’t want to lose you Mike.

If those PS3s have four USB plugs in front if them, then they are the backwards compatible PS3 that can play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games on it. Those ones are worth more $. Either way great finds. Thanks for the great video!

33:25 These guards go on the corners of drywalls or other walls so you have the corner protected or to get a sharp corner when you have brick walls with plaster on it. We have the same things in Germany. We used them all over our house.

I love watching your videos! My grandfather was a scrap metal guy in the early 1900's in South Dakota! I think it's in my blood! But, for me, I am a retired nurse, so see things through that lens. In the videos you shoot at night, there is often a CLOUD of plaster dust flying around when you are flinging things into your truck! Do you ever worry about what you are inhaling with all of that dust flying around - particularly in the open tops!? It would likely be wicked hot, but you might want to consider wearing a mask! I worry about your lungs!! Carry on and Happy New Year!

Mike I hope you and your family have a safe and joyous New Year 2022. The game systems you found today is one of your better scores. The Cisco switches still go for some money. From one of my collection I picked up over a month ago there was a Wii and a 32" samsung TV. I gave the Wii to someone that had one go missing and the TV I gave to her mother. All in all not a bad find that day.

My own father died when I was 13 months old so I never got to know him or have a significant step father to fill the void of his life lost. It sounds like your father was a stand up kind of guy.
