On one hand I feel so angry that perfectly good things are being thrown away. On the other you make me so happy with all the things you saved, knowing they're going to help people who can't afford to buy this stuff.

It just kills me that some school districts don’t have money for school supplies but the stores are dumping school supplies in the garbage! Why can’t they donate them to schools who need them! What a waste! Thanks to people like Cathie and other divers that do donate them! You guys are angels!👍🥰💜

I am so ecstatic that you saved all those school supplies. I am stunned too as there are so many kids needing these now in schools. Cathie, I'm speechless! Listening to how excited and happy you were to find these things brought me to the edge of tears. I don't care if those items are end of season or not, they can still be used now. Those flip flops would make great shower shoes. There more things you uncovered, the more excited I got. We put a free pile outside on our driveway when the weather’s not too bad. Whatever isn’t picked up then we donate. We live in an area where even a few dollars for toys is too much for some. Plus, our thrifts are an hour away. You’re doing an awesome service!

I can't believe stores just throwing them all away. I wish I was there to dive in. I was watching with my three year old boy, he was so amazed with the toys wishing he could have one. Thank you, thank you, thank you for rescuing all of that fine merchandise. The waste that would've otherwise happened, of brand new products, just makes me sick to think about. That's NOT why those were made, just to be trashed like that! As other comments have pointed out, there are kids who will show up at wherever you donate those items that aren't going to care what time of year it is, they'll be happy to have anything. They'll be overjoyed, and the toys and other items stay out of the landfill.

I just found your channel and have been binge watching. I think it’s so amazing that you donate your finds to the women’s shelter and local blessing boxes. Another option for donations is your local DCSF/DHS/CPS whatever it’s called near you. As a foster mama, I know that most times kiddos come into care with nothing and could use many of the items you tend to find (toys, hygiene items, bedding, clothing). Also, if you ever find backpacks, duffel bags, or things of that nature, those are also great items to donate so that the kids aren’t having to put their belonging into trash bags (yes, this still happens a lot and it’s so degrading for them). Keep up all your great work!
