Hii and welcome back to the channel! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and had a nice Thanksgiving holiday if you celebrate. We weren't sure what we would find out there in the dumpsters today, but wow did it end up being a great haul!! I love all the pink office shelves and decor, so cute!
Did you know what the MUMS were?? In Texas we use them to show our school spirit by decorating our homecoming outfits - it's a fun tradition and I will be curious to know how many of you have seen these before! They are the first of their kind that we've found and I will be on the look out for someone local to donate them to.

The bowl is a ramen / rice bowl. You put the chopsticks in the hole. I gave my daughter one for her birthday that is hello kitty.

Nursing homes would be a great place for the diapers! Great haul you 2!!!

Or put them in places (around here they're little cabinets in the church parking lot or boxes at the library) for people who need them but can't afford them. Also food pantries can really use those things for the needy. I've been so grateful for places like that. They've helped me in troubled times. ❤️

We got to spend Thanksgiving with my nephew that i helped raise, and that night into Friday early morning he went to the er, had cardiac arrest and passed away. His name was Dustin and he was 40 years old. He was a awesome person and will be missed by many. My heart is broken, so thank you for the videos. It helps to watch your videos ❤😢

I love seeing the Texas mum tradition! Fun! A bouffant is a woman's hairstyle that became popular in the 1950s when I was born. My mom and all her friends wore a bouffant hairdo. So cool!

@marymidthun2528 most nursing homes here will not accept any items like these. Must come from manufacturers. Medicaid or whatever equivalent pays for low income people.

That bowl is for ramen and the hole and slot are for you to rest your chop sticks on. It looked like you weren't going to find anything, but WOW did that change!! Have a blessed day!

Back in the 60s, we used to back comb our hair until it was really high, then spray a whole can of hair laquer on it, then go dance the night away, those were the days 🥰🥰

Hospice is a great place to donate adult briefs to. Also they will take unopened medical supplies

Also check with your vet or rescue shelter. Pets use diapers and pads as well. More apt to accept.

Hand towels are for the bathroom & usually match your towels. I think maybe those “thanksgiving” towels were kitchen dish towels. Do you remember the tv show called Alice, starring Linda Lavin? One of the other characters on that show, Flo, the tall, skinny blonde who chewed gum all of the time, had a bouffant hair style. About those diapers & underpads…call a veteran’s organization. Many wounded warriors, like myself (USMC/Vietnam), are living in poverty & can’t afford supplies like those that they really need to stay in their own homes & remain independent. If you could find someone like that, they wouldn’t be fussy about accepting a donation-I know I wouldn’t! I often have to choose between these expensive supplies & food.

South Carolina I have never heard of mums here. You guys do a great job of saving things from the landfill. It is great that you donate what you can not use. I’m thrilled for you when you find something nice for yourself. Keep up the great videos.

Great way to donate would just be to advertise them for anyone in need on Facebook. Lots of people take care of family members and they cannot afford these supplies. I think it’s wonderful to donate when you can.🙌♥️🤗🙏🙏

The bowl with the hole can either be used for knitting or noodles. You keep your ball of yarn in the bowl and the string comes out the hole and also rests your knitting needle. Or for ramen and holds your chopsticks.

Hey Kelly and Alex, those mums were so cool. I'm a Texas girl too and know all about the mums. I have a few friends who actually make them. Usually the bigger the better, just like our Texas!! I've seen the Homecoming mums that are double and triple. During the Homecoming dance the girls wear their mums with pride but they can be very heavy to wear. It's just a Homecoming Texas thang!! Enjoyed the video y'all ❤❤

Love watching you two. I think the bowl might be a yarn bowl. You put your ball of yarn in it, run the thread thru the hole to keep it from rolling away. Also, have you checked with your human society to see if they can use the under pads as potty pads? Keep up the great work!!

I'm so happy y'all rescued the mums, but sad they were thrown away. I was born 'n raised in Dallas, I still have my mum saved from Freshman homecoming and I'm in my 50's! That was the only year I attended a school with a football team, after that I transferred to the performing arts HS. The mum always brings a smile to my face whenever I come across it in storage, great memories :)

I didn’t read thru the comments but that owl looks like a ceramic yarn bowl. You put your yarn in there thread it thru the hole and it keeps the yarn from rolling around when knitting or crocheting. The sure is to hold your needles when not in use.

I’m from Western MD and mums are a thing here, too. Our High schools have homecoming and the mums are quite popular here during this time. All the girls where mums from their high school. Home coming is a very celebrated time here.

You both found quite a bit! You are my absolute favorite dumpster divers! I grabbed up to holiday wreaths from the condos across from my house. I then headed to the Dollar Tree the next day to repair them with added decor!

A great place to take those adult pull ups is the senior center.. especially if they have a thrift store..but they handed out all the time...p.s..on a funny note..my dog loves to bark at Alex.. especially if he thinks he is moving fast and goofing off...so funny!
