I got my grandma’s that was in a little better shape but not much. Cleaned it up, sanded and repainted the inside and store my good dishes in it. Awesome piece of furniture. Post pictures when done please.

I just looked on eBay and the prices are crazy for the antique ice boxes. There were extra parts on there as well. It will be well worth fixing up and then you may even decide to keep it for yourself. I would love to find something like that but our city doesn't allow dumpster diving. Back when it was okay to dumpster dive I found a little wooden phone cabinet. My ex husband fixed it up for me and I loved it.

Some shoe boxes can be folded inside out. Then the box is just a brown box from the outside, some people these days steal what they think is in the box. Just a thought😁

29:44 (leaves the Dr Who backpack) (me: wahhhhh!) I'm used to ice boxes having ice compartments on the top instead of the bottom. Cold goes down, not up. The poor thing really does need work. The doors are definitely an Arizona thing; we don't see those on the East Coast. (Or at least the family who stayed behind didn't; I apparently had cousins in Deadwood in the crazy days and out there you never knew!)
