Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. 41:18 those are antennas with SMA connectors HAM radio experimenters and other electronics people would love to have them, maybe eBay them.

Whenever I see somebody throwing away metal I get this mental image of all the work that it took to get that metal out of the earth and turn it into something usable.

@@teemoleague907 actually I think the environmental regulations make it illegal to throw that stuff in the landfill it's all supposed to be recycled in an environmentally conscious way.

@@MessOfThings depends, some state like california are strict while some other states don't have proper recycling units or they have less regulations. I think there is video of detroit recycling problem that's still up on youtube. For my personal experience,When I got the reclamation, you could read on the claims why it was recalled. Some merchandise were defective "breaks easy" so they got trashed . I remember throwing away fisher price toddler toys because the email said a piece of plastic was painted with lead paint. I chunk like 12 cases in the dumpster. When I worked electronics, I got a recall for dvd blue ray units. The manufacturer said it causes fires. I threw 30 of those away in the dumpster. We marked destroyed product on a claims forms and the store got full refund from the company. Some manufacturers would say how to get rid of the product while some said to throw it away. Because we followed direction from the manufacturer, the store was not liabial, I pretty sure some of those products had small batteries. It all depends where you live with laws and regulations. It was nice to throw things in the dumpster because we got an extra cigarette break.

@@teemoleague907 that's some good points to consider when retrieving new product out of the dumpster is that it maybe hazardous in some way. The things that I used to get from the gadget company I think they were just of such low quality and low price that it made sense for them to just throw the things away. Hopefully none of them are fire hazards and catch my car on fire while I'm not looking. They were all the kinds of things that you could purchase from a manufacturer in China and have your brand name stamped on them.

We purchased a coupling, like that for a 6 inch pipe of high pressure.the cost was 300 dollars,ask your local golf courses ,before you crap those out,for pennies.

Throw any roll of tape in the microwave for twenty seconds at a time and it’ll come back to life. It works on just about any kind!

White cloth blanketing is asbestos-type cloth used to prevent fires when welding etc.

You can use the hose as work bench mats and mud flaps even doggie doors there's lots of uses for that hose material

And if the belting or hose material is big enough you got a quick easy bed liner fire you're truck. Got one on old Chevrolet out of big belt and one on a Toyota pickup from hose material. Its 2 different pieces but hey it works

I know this is a year later, but I keep watching it because it’s got to be the funniest one you’ve ever made Mike. Trying to cut the end off that HUGE HOSE only to find that it was just a TINY LITTLE BIT OF A THING. Hahahahaha, I’m so sorry but I just had to finally write about it !! 🤣🤣🌈♥️🇨🇦. Those red things with the velcro, I use one or two of them for carrying shopping in plastic carrier bags, to stop the handles digging into my fingers.

You can sell those connectors to Boardsort. Probably even the ones on the ends of those other wires too. They have gold plated connectors.

Gold bearing connector , and antenna connection is gold plated brass, one of the big coupling connector have nice gold pin inside.

yes the 12 in hose is worth good money but it is so heavy you need the roller that they use to roll it up!

Sounds like typical US. Here in Germany the companys rarely throw anything away thats worth something. They recycle alot of stuff by law.
