Biggest problem we've got is the real lack of a warrior spirit. We were extremely lucky last week, if we play like that the rest of the season we'll be lucky to win 2 out of the next 5 games. That win shouldn't gloss over how worrying the performance was and how vulnerable we look after 75 mins when we are a goal up and the opposition just have a go and get men in the box.

Hoping celtic not only get the win but also put a few goals past dundee and have a dominating performance. Celtic has goal options in so many positions again, forrest definitely adds to that cutting infield from either wing. A dominating celtic win would be a real confidence boost and a statement of intent, adding to goal difference could be vital too. Great video as normal, thanks.

3 mate, IF we win them all after that you'd be talking 6pts & around 10 goals clear. We'd need to lose like 3-0 against Kilmarnock & 2-0 against St Mirren for them to win the league.

Yes, just part of Brendans psychology programme? Whatever, I'd play Maeda against Sevco even if only half-fit, he strikes terror in their defence and we need his aggression.

@@gezobel 100% the man’s a machine. His final ball is often horrific but he’s not a winger . In my opinion he’s more valuable to the title run in than reo or kyogo. Idah and Bernardo could fill in but Palma is a piss poor Jota.

Scales and Taylor were poor for the whole game last week and is mcgregor starting to get match fitness because surely the we can't take that risk . Iwata on current form deserves to be playing ahead of him .

Palma was indirectly criticised from Rodgers during his midweek Q&A. The only player where it was straightforward to read between the lines. Essentially not a Celtic style winger.

@@Guras_bumhole a Q responded to Rodgers earlier assertion that Celtic have always had a history of certain types of wingers - the ones that get in behind. After Brendan raised the fair point earlier that most incoming wingers probably overestimate their own relative speed, the Q singled out Luis Palma’s signing and how it clashes with the presumed philosophy. Rodgers simply agreed. It was either a dig at Palma or the board. But it was unambiguous for anyone paying attention. On a night where he was otherwise very professional and respectful to as many people as humanely possible.

Don’t see the big deal around Forest he’s banged goals in for us for years, he’s only 31! Get him in. Think Yang is clearly the fitter player. That’s probably the biggest/only reason he gets the nod. Another big performance needed form everyone on the park today. HH 💚

I'd go Iwata, McGregor, O'Riley. Then possibly Hatate in the 2nd half switch McGregor to cdm and we always have Bernado to come on

Taylor is a weakness, he should be a #2 lb, never gets to the by line he thinks hes a cm. With taylor not gettint to the by line, maeda booming them into row z when he does, kuhn mostly cuts in but does get there on occasion, johnstone on his day gets there, where is the width coming from for me the width of the team has been a real problem all season. Quality lb and wingers needed who can privide width and stretch the opposition especially when most teams play a low block against us.

Yang should not be anywhere near a Celtic shirt let alone starting. Farm him out for a season to get game time elsewhere and then see if he is good enough. Not the time for passenger's of which we have plenty I'm afraid.

Love that player focus segment. Cuts through the opinions and reactions to look directly at the stats. Agree 100% about playing Forrest from the start for 60-70 mins, even though I DO think he’s best as an impact sub these days. Yang (and Idah) is the only player we’ve signed who I see with a future at Celtic. Yes he’s raw and inept in places, and yes I think he should go on loan like Kwon, but if he can get his decision making, strength, and crossing sorted, he’ll be a brilliant flair player for us in a couple of years

The task is simple as this; win the next 3 games and we are champions. But im unsure with this defence though & I wouldn't be surprised if Dundee score 2 tomorrow. Hart has almost conceded a goal per game for us & that is about shocking, I love the guy but we need a new defence line next season. I've a feeling they'll draw 1-1 against St Mirren but I don't know If we will capitalise on it. My predictions is that we stay 3 points as we'll draw 2-2 tomorrow whilst they are 1-1.

Not using Forrest for at least an hour seems like cutting off yer nose to spite yer face. Been feelin like that for months. Yang's actually a bit of a unit but gives practically nothing. Baffling.

I think you can look at it positively for Rodgers in terms of him showing faith in the players the club have given him. Or cynically, 'sending a message' but I doubt that's the case, that would be unprofessional. He's certainly given Yang plenty of chances and at some stage the manager's faith has to be repaid - or he has to take a spell out of the team.

Canny mind wit game it wiz but yang wiz outstanding and to be fair it's the only game coz he usually tries cuttin in and passin back or sideways but I still believe he will come good n settle in to scottish football so for me ..he starts the match n forrest remains the impact sub if it's no gon oor way but having said that I'm confident we're winnin by 2 or 3 anyway HH 🍀🍀🍀

A win tomorrow is vital. We do that and we are left with only one away game to negotiate whilst the Buns will only have one left at home. Given our lead at present that is a huge psychological advantage so let's not blow that tomorrow.

Our midfield is powder-puff, been saying it for months. ORiley and Hatate vastly overrated far too weak and ineffectual, imv. I'd even consider playing Tony Ralston (remember him?) in midfield against the more physical sides.

Paul you seem to have a big thing about scales and Taylor, the last 2 goals for Aberdeen came from their left winger our right back showing him inside missed by both centre half’s and a goalkeeper (who should command the 6 yard box) school boy stuff for keepers, but you blast scales and Taylor ? If they came from their right wing I could understand Taylor being criticised along with scales. I think Hart has to accept responsibility for not coming off his line.

Hart has responsibility, I agree. Johnston not stopping the cross, maybe. But he was isolated one on one late in the game, if he gets tight Hoilett could skip past him. Defending crosses should bread and butter for the back 4.

Paul, will you STOP slaggin' off Liam Scales! He's been immense for us this season. Brendan says so, and agrees with me. Those goals last week were Joe Hart's fault. He will NOT come out for the easy crosses, never seen such a coward behind the goal. Never leaves his goal line when ball comes into the box. Big personality, lousy goalkeeper. We need someone like the great Pat Jennings.

Paul, why would you start players that recently and (over an extended period of time) have performed poorly? Or is this a lineup you think Rodgers will select? The next (5) games are crucial to winning the league, although I think Dundee is probably the weakest of the next (5) opponents. In matches like these a coach, player, even supporters need to remove any emotional attachment to players they are inclined to select. I think the word 'ruthless' in team selection is required here: Hart; Johnston; CCV; Nawrocki; Scales???; Iwata; Hatate; O'Riley; Palma; Kyogo; Kuhn. But I would not be surprised at the Rodgers inclusion of Taylor; Forrest; McGregor.

Wouldn’t start James Forrest he’s very effective coming off the bench Don’t see Nawrocki starting as bad as Scales is nobody else at the club is better Kyogo has been very poor lately but same as Scales we don’t have anyone better

Nawrocki hasn’t completed 90 minutes since August. There’s an issue there regarding his fitness. No manager wants to start big games knowing he’ll have to change his central back pairing because one of them cannot last the full game.

Callum McGregors usual self? How long does he have to be shocking before that patter gets binned. This has been almost a season and a half now. His decisions, passing and pace are miles off what he was 2 seasons ago.

@DavidBhoy1967 yes, but not the best part of the last 2 years. The nepotism is unbearable. He has played 3 or 4 games this entire season where he has been good. Marked out of games and passing has been abysmal. As I said, leaderless.
