Dune 2: Zendaya & Florence Pugh Reveal the Scene They Were Nervous to Film

As the theatrical premiere of Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two nears, Collider's Steve Weintraub was able to speak with the cast of the film about the behind-the-scenes and scenes we'll never see. In this interview, Dune's returning star Zendaya and newcomer to the series, Florence Pugh, share some challenging moments from script to screen.
In Dune: Part Two, the ripples of the rebellion that first began on Arrakis upon Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Lady Jessica's (Rebecca Ferguson) arrival is felt across the Known Universe. The betrayal and assassination of Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac) leaves the fate of the planet in the hands of the domineering Harkonnens. Paul and Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen people unite to face a war for their homes and way of life. The sequel also stars Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and more.
During their interview, Zendaya and Pugh share some of the most challenging scenes to tackle, from the very first day of filming to the specifics of Chani as a character. They talk about deleted scenes, how much of Pugh we'll actually get to see in Part Two, and their "twisted" filmographies that led to Dune.

I actually really enjoyed these questions, and answers. Something new for a change, and not always the "what's it like riding a sandworm?" "What's it like working with x and y" where we all already know they will answer with nothing but praise, duuuh. These questions were insightful, ty for the video.

Most of us have seen the premier photos. Especially the ones with Zendaya in that revealing suit. With that said, I would say, "Go look at some photos of Florence Pugh's past interactions with premiers and the press.". I would bet Vegas money that these two had the most influence on each other and formed the strongest bond. Especially as they are only one year apart but have arrived at the same point with vastly different paths.

@@seankrezanoski6840 I think there should have been more about how the planet of arrakis came to be this dune . It was previously a planet lush with plant life ad water and it was the worms who were responsible for the transformation of the planet

I found it interesting that Zendaya was excited and giggly (you can see around 2:46) but noticed Florence was more reserved so stopped fiddling with her chain (3:08) and matched Florence's energy. Kinda feel bad though lol

Why is an interviewer first baiting them to say Villeneuve is a genius, and then not asking a single question that could show he is a genius. Please stop.

?! They are very entertaining but they are human. Sometimes it's hard to hide every bit of sheer fatigue. Sometimes, despite the smiles and laughter, a teeniest bit of exhaustion might seep around the edges. The brilliantly talented ladies are wonderful, gave a great interview, and are allowed to be just a wee bit subdued every now and then.

Kudos to casting these average/below average looking women for the movie. I thought it would detract but the juxtaposition made the Male lead work way better. 4's and 5's are almost always cast in supporting roles. I gotta say though Chalamet is a consummate Actor and the table scene he did with Ferguson is what Peeps go to the movies for: A peek behind the curtain.
