DUNE: Part Two - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have been asking for it, now you get it! This piano version is based on the tracks "A Time of Quiet Between the Storms", "Beginnings Are Such Delicate Times", "Kiss the Ring", "Only I Will Remain" and "Never Lose Me". Just like with the first DUNE soundtrack, I had my doubts at first whether the original music could translate to piano. The soundtrack is once again very atmospheric, the main theme consists of just eight notes, and it's difficult to identify a clear meter or rhythm. Perhaps, though, that's also why Hans Zimmer has once again managed to create such a unique and emotional soundtrack. Although the new soundtrack also features the familiar musical themes from Part One, I focused solely on the new and prominently used main melody in Part Two. More specifically, this is a love theme that reflects the relationship of the two main characters, Paul and Chani. Fun Fact: The theme was already briefly and inconspicuously heard in the bagpipe scene in the first film. The corresponding track "House Atreides" can be found in Hans Zimmer's "The Dune Sketchbook" from 2021 and already contains the entire melody in a long and similar form to that heard in the second film.
Here is my piano version of the first DUNE soundtrack: • DUNE - Main Theme (Pia...

I love how this theme first appeared in “The Dune Sketchbook” album as a part of the House Atreides theme. It becoming the leitmotif of Part 2 and being played on wind instruments instead of vocals perfectly merges Paul’s legacy as an Atreides and his newly gained Fremen mentality. I couldn’t imagine that this theme could be arranged for a piano so perfectly. Astounding job 👍

Hey Patrik; I know you probably won't even see this but i want to thank you so much for your hard work in these videos. The hours of practice it takes to play pieces like these helped inspire me to pick up the keyboard. When I was 13, one of my friends showed me your Force Theme from Star Wars and i was amazed by how fluent the piano transcription was. I practiced every day, 2-6 hours for over 4 years. Now i can play your pieces like i always wanted to. Now a new page in my music life is approaching and i am starting to produce original compositions. Your originals really inspire me to keep making music and give me ideas on how to use instruments. So one more time, thank you so much for giving me that inspiration! Can't wait to see what you do next! Love the arrangement!

Found this channel when interstellar had come out, which I bought the tablature for as it's the best arrangement I have (still) ever heard. He was tiny then, and there were a couple of other piano channels (that I knew of that did "something" like what he has here, but his was better and the figured it out himself, which was impressive at the time. Crazy that he's over a million subs now

And these pieces aren't easy but they are playable for good amateur pianists and totally doable in one month if you practise like 1 hour a day. Writing them like this, that they sound difficult and imposing but are totally playable is the real challenge I think Patrik Pietschmann can play much more difficult pieces than he posts at his channel

The adventure's of Han from Solo! REY'S THEME! Reign of the Targaryens! Cobra Kai (It's karate time, Call of the Cobra, All of us)! Blue Planet 2! Frozen Planet 2! Planet Earth 3! Mayflies from Our Planet! LaLa Land! Super Smash Bros Ultimate! Legend of Zelda 1&2! 1917! Fawkes Theme from Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets! The Hobbit medley (Lake Town, Mirkwood elves, Tauriel and Kill, Smaug)! Back to the future! Jurassic World (As the Jurassic World Turns)! Kung Fu Panda 2! How to Train your Dragon 3! Evergreen by TSFH! Fantastic Beasts! Avatar the way of water (Leaving Home)! Unbreakable by TSFH! Patrik, I’ve been watching your videos for many years now - I learned many of your arrangements and performed them. This one is amazing, I haven’t seen the movie yet but the Hans Zimmer score sounds awesome. Keep it up!!

As it was written... Quite literally actually. That was an absolut masterpiece of an arrangement! I didn´t know this piece would work out on the piano so good. You are a genius Patrik!

Been waiting for this since the movie came out. You blew me away Patrik. Thought I could learn this at first then quickly realized theres no way😂. You inspired me to pick up piano again last year and I’m so glad. Already learning a few of your arrangements, time, interstellar, gladiator, kung fu panda ect. As a suggestion i would love to see Forbidden Friendship from httyd. Been looking for a good one for a few years now. Great job 👏
