I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the fan fucking tastic dungeoncast! These cambions sound like dreadful pitiful creatures. Perhaps had they been treated better they would not have become the beasts they are now, but that matters little! For I serve the dungeoncast and no fiendish creature can strike fear into my heart! I will march into the abyss and the nine hells and exterminate every evil unrepentant creature I find in the name of the lords of knowledge and laughter! But first I need to rest for the upcoming battle...also one last thing, will when you were talking about how you liked the whole devilish hellfire theme for them was the word you were trying to think of that it's a specific niche by any chance? I'd probably keep them to one or the other if it were up to me. Speaking of the abyss and the nine hells I wanted to share an idea/ talk about something that has been on my mind for some time. Ok so as I understand it in dnd lore bahamut banished tiamat to baotor right? Well personally from a writing standpoint I think this is dumb for the following reasons. Tiamat is as I understand it, basically all of the bad traits of dragons personified and amplified. So obviously she's going to be very prideful right? Like she's the type that wants to be at the top of everything. Yet putting her into the nine hells conflicts with this as she'd have to take orders from asmodeus. So logically the only thing that should happen would be draconic pride taking over,her thinking she's bigger and bader than asmo, then getting obliterated. Which sucks because then you'd lose tiamat as a character. So even though she was an arch duke for awhile it still makes no sense to me. and honestly considering how lazy and self serving she got in her role as arch duke her lawful evil alignment makes no sense. To me she feels more neutral or chaotic evil. If she were lawful evil I would have expected her to kick that pit fiends ass that deposed her and restore herself as archduke. But no as far as i know she just sat there and took it. So in conclusion I wanted to say my idea is that it makes more sense to put tiamat in her own layer of the abyss as this would solve the issues I stated above. On her own abyssal layer she could rule without answering to anyone and just think of how badass a corrupted abyysal tiamat would look? Anyway that's my rant. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. :)

I am hoping to play a cambion barbarian character. He is chaotic neutral and presents himself as an unusually large muscular tabaxi. He doesnt sport the Asmodeus look because he is actually half *rakshasa.* Yes, that dreaded CN alignment, but actually I'm hoping to play this that he has turned on his father and is living mostly a life of good, but certain environmental factors trigger his devilish urges. The repression of his once lawful evil nature has caused it to degrade into a violent bloodlust. At the DM's decision (if not too often) I will have to roll a will save where a low failure will cause him to lose control and lash out violently at those around him. It is also the source of his barbarian rage on the battlefield.

In my campaign I very rarely have a half anything, elderitch stuff I do but almost never outside of that. Because if everything is fantastic nothing is fantastic, dragons, elves, demons and vampires lose the cool factor, the mystery, the terror if everything is watered down. "There's a dragon over the hill!" So what? I have half dragon a day walking vampire and half troll in my party. When I was a young RPGer I thought, I am going to let everything in my game from half demons to robocop to ninja turtles to dinosaurs into my game! Its will be awesome! At first is was cool but in no time the game was a mess! Nothing made sense everyone was completely over powered. Wasn't fun because a game with no rules is not fun. Now I am totally opposite, you can be a human, no stats start over 13, magic items give a +1 the really good rare stuff is +2. At first sounds like a slog but it's much better. You have to think ahead use wits every little bonus is a blessing. The game has tension, real stakes. When players see a troll they go "oh no! Everyone get ready this is going to be tough." If they win players go Yah! If they die they go boo! That's good because the absolute worst thing that can happen is a player feel indifferent.
