This really is a wonderful tutorial and very easy to follow! I learned a lot and made a great looking mimic as well. Any chance of getting a tutorial for something like that blue slaad in your KZfaq header? It's just beautiful!

I'm glad you're going to make a video about the base. When you showed the finished product without explaining the gold and jewels, I got super heated. I almost punched my monitor.. you better make that video soon.

Why did you bother with a zenith prime when u just base coat so thickly it completely negates the point of using a zenith prime? Still a good paint job btw just a tad confused

At this point it’s just a habit. On some models I want to try harder on it’s a rough guide for highlight placements. For others like this one it’s completely useless lol.

attention world of paint manufacturers, stop naming your colors with stupid artsy names. I’ve tried 5 videos to determine if mimic flesh is Blue or purple. And I STILL don’t know.. -colorblind America.

I painted mine a purple color with pink highlights. I agree that the names of some of these paints are a bit ridiculous.

@@nopaintnogains948 thank you for your quick response. I vented a bit too early earlier. I realized deeper in the video that some of the paints have the word “purple” in them and such. Thank you. This is a long time frustration amongst artists whom are colorblind 😂 That and so many companies don’t use labels at all! Just color coded lids…. Yuck. 😝
