Dunhinda is a very popular waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is 64 meters high. So it is not a high waterfall. But, considering its beauty, it is a great waterfall. This waterfall is called Dunhinda because of the smoke-like nature of the water droplets.
The source of this waterfall is called Badulu Oya, which originates from Badulla district.

To reach this waterfall one has to take Badulla - Mahiyangana main road. Km from Badulla on this road. A junction called "Dunhinda Junction" located about 6 km away. The signboard with a gate on the right side of the road is easy to spot and the waterfall can be reached by walking for about a km along the small footpath starting from the junction.
