Dunlop Trailmax Raid on my Norden 901 for a motorcycle camping trip through Scandinavia [S5-E9]

June 16th: Time to change tires! Not because they are worn out but because I have been fortunate to receive the support of Dunlop Nordic going forward. I will be continuing this trip riding their new Trailmax Raid 50/50 adventure tire! I continue my trip to the workshop Hanebo & Sortvik in Trondheim and visit a friend nearby before I follow the E6 further north. I spend the night camping next to Snåsavatnet.

I put my plastic "puck" for under my side stand, on a piece of string. So that when I get on the bike, I pull it up by the string and roll it all up and put it into my pocket :) a Handy Tip :)

Nemo Tensor! That's why you had a leak... I had two of those, really like them as not noisy and comfortable but on my second failure I had to give up on them. They are really fragile.

Atleast you can get them, Noraly always has an issue even finding tires that fit. Ferrys were big when my dad was a kid, now there are bridges. But of course your bridges would have to span large areas. Thanks to Dunlap! stay safe

Scandinavia is such a nice region, just saw the footage from the KTM adventure rally 2023 in Norway, amazing ! I've been to Sweden, but Norway and Finland are on my TET todo list :) After having a leak in the front tire of the E07+ from factory on my new bike ( known issue on the 2023 890r's ), I've also decided to go for the Dunlop trailmax raid. Can't wait to put them on, wet grip performance was the deciding factor for me, since Belgian weather is crap most of the year :) Have fun on your trips and thanks for sharing.

Good video. Love your personable attitude; it feels like a friendship. Your videos aren't boring; they're pretty drama free, which I like. I liked how you looked so defiant eating those chips 13:39, funny. Hey, as long as your health is good and you don't get overweight...so what? You look good! I asked Alexa, my AI, what's better, eating fast food or frozen foods, and she said frozen foods have more nutrient value, so frozen foods are for me. I saw on TV that high school kid did a science project where they kept fresh and fast foods out to see their decay rate or the rate that mold would take them over. It took a day for fresh foods, but for fast food, it took months for them to develop mold because there are so many preservatives.

Hi Runa, Cruse controls is one of my most important criteria when I choose the Norden. Because when I went to north cape last year with my KTM Superduke I use it every time. Cruise control makes long rides so, so, so much better! When I got my new motorcycle that and heated grips were the two must have features for me.

I haven't ridden in Norway since 2018. You've convinced me to head back there next summer! The west coast up to Lufoten is one area I haven't been to yet, so I can't wait until your next episode. Sticking with my T700 though! 😏

I have to acknowledge to you Runa, the last time I was anywhere near Tronheim was way back in the late 70's early 80's and we as a group did the camping tour of Norway, whilst sea trials were underway on the Oil Rig we were normaly based on in Stavanger. Beautifull countryside up there but how folks sleep in summer months is bewilderng to me as even with eye shades I found it near on impossible.

I hope your new tyres work out for you Runa, I hate bedding new tyres in but its worth it once they start getting proper grip👍Showing off your cruise control😛I've never had a bike or a car with cruise control so I can't comment on how good it is but I'm sure its great on long straight roads! What a beautiful camping spot👌I'm looking forward to the coast road, I'm very jealous unless the weather isn't very nice😂

Cruise control is great. Did you know you can do clutchless up and down shifts on this bike too? It has what Husky call easy shift so no need for clutch except to take off and stop 😊

The Trailmax Raid is a good one. Better tread life than the AX41 or Anakee wild, round enough that they are good on the road, but with enough voids in the tread to be good on the dirt as well. A harder compound as you would expect (with the pros and cons that entails), but a very well rounded tire that leans toward the aggressive side of ADV IMO. These are my new favorite tire.
