They have stood up to pepperballs, sponge rounds, 40mm gas canisters and baton rounds. The plastic is nearly 1/4" high density polyethylene, it's susceptible to cutting attacks but extremely efficient and distributing force from blunt attacks. You would need to be using a round with a lethal amount of energy to penetrate this material.

@@mrhelper6593 if you double then up say 2 or 3 layers of plastic thay can stop knives or bricks being thrown at you in say a riot or something .
