The matting system for decoupling with a composite sealing action for tiled surfaces
With its triple-layer construction, the multifunctional
DURABASE CI++ matting system offers so much more than
simply decoupling. The crack-bridging properties of the
mat and its optimised shear force protection enable new
tiles to be laid on old and damaged tiled floors, provided
that these are still load-bearing.
With freshly laid cement based screed, tiles can be installed
on fresh screed as soon as installation process is
possible, its fast and simple installation processing and
optimal installation reliability and quality make it ideal for
renovation projects and for installation on mineral subsurfaces
which have not dried out sufficiently.

Is the 5mm gap between each sheet or the perimeter of the room. Very unclear in the video

Can I use the same tile adhesive to stick the matting down as the one I will be using to lay the tile

what about installing on plywood, do you need to prime the plywood?

It must be worked according to the instructions of the tile adhesive because it has to stick securely to the ground.

@@DURALPROFILE Thanks for the reply. I ended up just wiping down the ply with a wet sponge before laying the matting down.

I'm a tiler of over 25 years, I appreciate reply is late but it may help others. For any wood subfloor (you should avoid OSB, especially in bathrooms as its prone to rot) you need to prime with either PVA diluted 50:50 or much better is SBR again 50:50. Apply liberally over the whole floor with a roller, leave it to dry in a little then crack on with adhesive and matting.

@@Tjw1 You can also use Ecoprim... A sand based primer that gives a key for adhesive to bond to...
