Hi Guys ... hope you like the recipe for Durgapuja special Bengali Bhoger Khichuri ... Follow the simple instructions mentioned in the video and you can re-create the exact taste of Bengali Bhog wali Khichdi, prepared in pandals during Durgapuja... I bet you will love it!
Ingredients:-
------------------
Moong Dal - 1 cup
Govinda Bhog Rice - 1 cup
(you may also use kalijeera or basmati rice)
Potato - 1 large
Cauliflower - 1 large
Mustard Oil - 4 tablespoons
Bay Leaf - 1
Dried Red Chillies - 2
Cumin Seeds - 2 teaspoons
Tomato - 1 large
Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Ginger Paste - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
Water - 8 cups
Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
Ghee - 1/4 cup

@@colinsoder split mung with or without skins (skins are green) are preferred lentil ... she says always add scalding hot water and add total water in few steps rather than in one go ... total water is 4 times total volume of rice+dal ... she dry roasts dal and then soaks it along with rice and but before adding first dose of water she says roast very well rice+dal ... she says all the points listed in this comment are important

ম্যাডাম,আমি খুব মন দিয়ে আপনার খিচুড়ি recipe দেখলাম আর বুঝতে পারলাম একদম ঠিক ঠাক আর authentic recipe।তবে বাসমতি চালের থেকে গোবিন্দ ভোগ চাল দিয়ে খিচুড়ি রান্না করলে অনেক বেশি tasty হয়।খুব সুন্দর ভাবে video তৈরি করেছেন।Excellent👍

Tried making it on this Sunday afternoon. And boy it came out quite delicious. Almost matching with puja bhog, obviously I fell somewhat short on that...😁... Need some more practice to reach that state. Cauliflower florets were quite stubborn getting properly cooked. May be I did cut'em a bit too big, that's something I have to check again. But apart from that the main stuff of khichdi came out pretty well. Was able to bring out that aroma. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
